It's just jealousy, you know they would be jumping for the sky when they get a 100%.

Keep your head up high, and laugh in their faces!

I barely study and I have perfect grades. But my school is entirely filled with nerds (I love it), so I'm not the only one. Why would anyone feel bad if someone else does well? I can admit I've sometimes not been happy when others do well, but I understand that it's really stupid if you think about it.

I'm the kind of person that can pull As and Bs without studying much. I know that sounds like bragging, but it really isn't, it's the truth. Needless to say, I try to avoid talk of my grades altogether because it actually gets people ANGRY. There probably aren't a lot of people that know that I'm currently pulling a 4.0 (only through freshman year and 1st marking period of sophomore though, so that'll probably change), because I simply avoid the topic. Still proud of it though, and you should be too.

A side-note, but I'm not the kind of person that sees a B and goes "OMG I FAILED"... or even a C really. I only get disappointed if I knew I could've easily done better. Just felt like saying that because I know that's the stereotype of people like me.

Needless to say, I'll be able to laugh at these people when I become an engineer or scientist of some sort.

Unfortunately, I do. I never study for tests, and I still score better than a lot of people who actually do study. Gets a lot of flak thrown my way.

I know how you feel OP. I wasn't exactly insulted, but I did feel a disconnect with people in high school since they thought that actually studying for exams was a waste of time compared to...doing other stuff. Even in college, I get the same thing (aren't we a little more mature at this time?). In philosophy class a few years back, through an unusual set of circumstances, I started and finished an essay the night before it was due. Cool thing was I got an A. When the professor told me that I got a perfect paper, I got this death galre from every single person in the classroom. It's this kind of behavior from people that actually made me ashamed of being somewhat bright for a little while. I don't mean to gloat, but I'm sorry if I don't require that much preparation to do well.

It's amazing how often an anti-academic attitude correlates with a person's inablility to advance very far in the educational system. Just sayin'

I left school when I was 16, Because I wasn't interested in any subject. I have no life at the moment, but that doesn't mean I'm stupid

That's the whole reason I was bullied for years. At least it hasn't affected me.

It's like when people say that I have no life when I kill them a few times in Call of Duty. People will contrive all sorts of conclusions through insane logic to try and regain their wounded pride.

Nothing´s wrong with beeing smart. Ignore the retards that says otherwise. Some day the same person will be begging you for a job.
Don't be so naive. Businesses in Britain tend to work like this: the people with talent work hard on the frontline while the management is made up of people with little discernable skill, business nous or humanity.
Then the latter group decides the best way to reduce costs is to get rid of the former group instead of cutting their own ridiculously huge f***ing salary.
And then they wonder why the quality of their product has reduced. Their profits start to fall, so they decide they need to cut costs again and the whole vicious cycle continues.

And yes, I have been made redundant recently and I'm bitter. I was caught out the second time they decided to "cut costs", just one year after my company centralised everything to create a "centre of excellence".
My point, basically, is that being smart doesn't pay unless you can second guess what the retards in charge are going to do next.

PS: You misspelt "being". :)
This might all be true of your previous job, but it seems unwise to generalise all management everywhere in the UK. If the management were unintelligent and yet also the driving power behind all UK businesses then the UK wouldn't have an economy, let alone one of the best in the world.

Although I understand you're bitter, so you're probably being somewhat over-emphatic.

Have you ever have had or seen this kind of issue?
She was upset that she didn't score as highly as she'd expected and the cognitive dissonance between her expected mark determined by her self-perceived intelligence and the actual mark contradicting her self-perception caused a disjunct that required her to either admit that she's unintelligent or fault the testing process in order to maintain her self-perception. By presenting people who scored highly as undesirably abnormal she doesn't have to face the stark reality that she simply isn't as clever, or perhaps learned, as she thought.

As similar biasing can be observed by sports supporters who champion their own team's successes as a product of their skill and other team's successes as a product of luck or foul play.

That's the cognitive interpretation, anyway.

Yes. Stupid people have always been hating on the smart people because they're smart and they're acing exams like it ain't no thang while others don't know what the fuck. And this is an awesome thing and you should completely act like a smug asshole and rub it in at every opportunity. HOWEVER, I wish I did that, instead, back in school I considered myself cursed and whatnot for you know, not being able to be normal and stuff like that. Now, many years later, I say, fuck that, being a nerd is awesome because the tables have turned, nerds kick so much ass.

Bottom line, everyone who's giving you the shtick for being smart should just be told to suck it. And I mean it, you don't have the misfortune of living in a silly country where brains are pretty much an obstacle to being a cool albeit retarded, low brow piece of shit

I've never studied but managed to stay high 70s and low 80s. In Japanese I got 100%. I laugh at those who do worse than me and accuse me of not having a life and being a shut in.

Oh my God.

Bro, deal with it. The fact that you are complaining about someone upset that you are smarter than them is beyond me. You have no idea what I would give to be naturally talented with study habits and education in general.

Your one and only reaction should be smug pride.

Be thankful. Literally, all my problems in life have stemmed with my parents not being fine with "barely passing"
Actually it is and i'm not complaining about it. Just thought that I would share this.

Sometimes I do.

It does make me a little mad when people some at my school brag about it when they get something above an 80. But when they fail they call everybody else a loser nerd with no life.

I think he is just saying that people shouldn't be making fun of others because they apply themselves.. The fact that its bad to be smart is one of the problems with our school system, if you do well in school you are a nerd and will be made fun of and bullied. People don't want that so they don't do as well as they could; its bullshit and its just taking society downwards.

OT: Haters gonna hate, what can you do?

Neh, my brother in law is a national class athlete, just because I prefer to read, play games and stay indoors I hear the "At least I've got a life" phrase every time I see him -_-. He doesn't mean it maliciously, that doesn't stop me from wanting to slam his head in a car door :/

Wait, you got 100% on a major exam? There IS something wrong with you! I can work as hard as I ca- er, I mean want and NEVER get anything higher that 90% percent! (okay, I can get pretty close, but only on a REALLY good day).

I feel she's just jealous of you.... as am I. >.>
