THE GODDAMN C96 AUTO PISTOL IN DAY OF DEFEAT SOURCE!!!!!!!! (especially on servers that give you more secondary weapon ammo) It has barely any recoil, high rate of fire, and no skill really to use that weapon. I fucking hate that gun in that game

Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark. It is a sniper rifle that shoots through walls and finds targets for you. AND it stays scoped while you reload, which takes about half of a second.

Scarf Ditto in Pokemon Gen 5.

Battlefield: Vietnam. The gun was so overpowered that if youve played the game, you know what I'm talking about. You literally never needed to use a single other weapon ever.

That silenceable automatic sniper rifle in MGS4. Must I even explain?
And JC Denton's laser blade thing.
Sadly, I love them both.

Fair enough, but there are most definitely some distinguished and horribly overpowered weapons in most games.

For the most part, I don't care if somebody kills me, but if they're using a notoriously overpowered weapon, they will receive no respect from me.
I dunno... I don't see why anybody deserves ANY respect for being able to kill you in a video-game. It's not like they've actually achieved something of any value.

I don't even dislike people that seem to get their self-worth from being good at a game. It just kinda makes me sad.

Although... I do have to admit to poking them with whatever stick I think will make them react most occasionally. I'm kinda strange that way.
Well that is an interesting point I don't know if I agree with. In sports plenty of athletes get respect far and wide in our culture. They've become good at a game to an outstanding level, but it's still a game. Being able to say you are the best at nearly anything (or even just good) earns you respect in this world, at least by those who's interests include the thing you are best at.

Killing someone is a show of skill for the most part, of the game. Same with being able to fix up an old car as a hobby, or painting a masterpiece of art, or being able to slam dunk a basket ball. By learning to play the piano have I achieved anything of more value, than if I had spent the time mastering PVP in WoW? A matter of opinion, because they would both be for the sake of entertainment. For the sake of just obtaining a skill set for the heck of it.

SSBB:

fucking Metaknight. fighting him at max level 9 CP or with a skilled player makes it next to impossible to win against him.

In Black Ops, the chopper gunner. Not because it's overpowered, but because the gunship, which takes more kills, thus should be better, is inferior to the chopper gunner in every way.

Boone. I think they overdid it with that companion.

The Charge ability from AC Brotherhood multiplayer. There is one way to counter it, and if they use it the way certain a-holes online use it, even that one way won't work.

what was your heavy weapons skill? and its spelled Fawkes (i been playing the game recently)

as for my pic, uhhh...... halo 2 needler i think (can really think of another right now). but really you could dual wield that and if you were within homing range for the needles all you had to do was hold the triggers and your target would die without fail unless they had a rocket or something.

The AWP in Counter-Strike (almost always a one-shot kill)
The M249 in Counter-Strike (highest ammo per clip, and uses the best bullets)
The Combat Shotgun in Fallout 3 (12 shells per clip)
MP40 in Call of Duty: World at War (goddamned everyone uses it!)
UMP .45 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Same as MP40)

Pistol in Halo: CE. Srsly, that thing was stronger than most weapons (Rocket lawn-chairs and sniper rifles aside).

Towards the end of the game in Might and Magic 6 you get your hands on fully automatic laser assault rifles. In a swords'n'sorcery setting.

Gotta admit, it sure was fun to return to the deadliest places and simply annihilate every last enemy. Take THAT, dragonkind!

The Fell Arms in Tales of Vesperia. They gain 1 attack power for every enemy killed throughout the game. Once you activate this ability, you've killed enough enemies to put attack power through the roof.
