Can it with the Xbox/PS2 comparisons, please? This thread started by asking for suggestions of good Gamecube games if you hadn't noticed. Start your own thread if you feel like trashing each others HONEST/HUMBLE/WHO CARES opinions.
*ahem*
These ams my only suggestions:

GOTCHA FORCE < can't recommend it enough, and so psyched I called it first!!!
Killer 7
Custom Robo
Day of Reckoning series
Phantasy Star Online
Viewtiful Joe series
F-Zero GX
Animal Crossing
WarioWare
Metroid Prime
Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Fire Emblem
Fight Night Round 2
Eternal Darkness
Timesplitters 2
Second Sight
Hunter: The Reckoning
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes

Man, I might have to go hook up my own Gamecube for a while...

On topic - all the games I'd recommend have already been mentioned, good luck finding them.

P.N.03 was surprisingly decent. Worth checking out if only for the smoking hot main char.

SSBM of course.

Mario kart Double Dash is my favorite in the series, and has the best rainbow road.

Luigi's mansion was great, regardless of what anyone else says. Who honestly went into that game thinking it was gonna be a platformer?

Super Mario Sunshine was good as well, but not without it's problems. Swimming was clunky, but wasn't used all that often. The hover nozzle felt clunky as well, and this I feel was the most irritating problem. There were some camera issues. God damn were some of the stages hard.

Pikmin and Pikmin 2 are pure gold.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are great as well, but it could be difficult to read the map at times.

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are excellent, as is usual for the Zelda series. Four Swords Adventure is also worth taking a look at. Even single player, This was an excellent game, but many complain about the multiplayer requiring a lot of extra stuff to play (a GBA and a cable for each player). If you don't have all that extra stuff, the single player mode is still worth it.

Sonic Adventure was absolute proof that 3d was the best thing to ever happen to sonic. I'd say Sonic Adventure 2 was as well. The Sonic/Shadow levels were pretty much what you'd expect. The Tails/Robotnic (oh yeah, I called him Robotnic) were slower, but you are riding a freaking robot and blowing up everything that moves or you just feel like blowing up. The Knuckles/Rouge levels are difficult to love, but become much better once you learn to navigate each level. The rap "music" on the Knuckles stages is just gadawful, however. Sonic Heroes was good, but the dialogue felt a little too childish mot of the time. There were a bunch of glitches regarding switching attack modes and the camera, but the game is far from unplayable (usually anyways).

Paper Mario 2 The Thousand Year Door was absolutely awesome. The humor is a bit outdated, but it blends ARPG and TBRPG elements incredibly well, and provides significantly more depth and challenge than the previous game.

James Bond Nightfire, as well as Agent Under Fire are pretty typical Bond games. That is to say, pretty good. Everything or Nothing is unique in that it is in 3rd person perspective, but that didn't really mesh all that well with me.

Star Wars Rogue Leader is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. The Clone Wars shakes things up a lot, with most of the combat taking place on the ground. The fighter tank, walker, and gunship levels are great, but the jedi levels feel unpolished. it has a good multiplayer mode as well.

Resident Evil. Just, Resident Evil.

Alot of great games mentioned so I'm sure you have a good overall picture. But I have to stand up for a great title that's not getting the props it deserves.

Luigis Mansion.

Come on ppl. Good puzzles Fun story, innovative gameplay for a mairo game. It looked great, was a blast finally getting to play my man in green, and one of my fav mario games of all time. So pfft to anyone that trashes The mansion. Try it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

However i also include windwaker as one of my top 3 zelda games. Yea i'm one of those guys. That game was as close to a ten as anything will get. Haters.

(Props to SSX tricky as well. why not =op)

If you don't absolutely despise JRPS I'm gonna throw out Tales of Symphonia for you. It's heavy on the JRPG tropes off the bat and that can annoy the fuck out of some people but if you like JRPG stuff it's totally worth it. Since after you get through the beginning part I'd recommend it to anybody. Even those who hate JPRGs because it's so good.

From what I've heard, if it was developed by Nintendo, it'll be good. Path of Radiance, Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, and all the Mario Party games are good starting points. From there, just try whatever looks good and hope for the best.

Phantasy Star Online, Super Mario Sunshine, and one of my personal favorites (That I can remember) Kirby's Air Ride. That last one provided me so much fun, especially with friends.

Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0 are great. Resident Evil 4 is different but awesome nonetheless. MGS: Twin Snakes (remake of mgs1) is good as well. The two rogue squadrons aren't bad. F-Zero GX is a fantastic racing game. And then of course there is smash bros.

Phantasy Star Online is one I've always enjoyed. It lacks any of the online support these days since the servers went down a few years back, but you can still hook up some local split screen action with your friends for a really fun time
That's... not quite accurate. There's still a way. But it's probably against the rules to speak of it publicly. If anyone's interested, drop me a PM.

Oh yes, yes, recommendations, uhm... Nothing that hasn't been said yet, I'm afraid.

In no particular order:

Eternal Darkness (mindfuck warning)
Metroid Prime 1&2
Skies of Arcadia
Sonic Adventure 2
Rogue Squadron/Leader/Whatever games (sorry, don't remember their exact names; those StarWars games where you're in a ship shooting stuff)

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle if you don't feel like buying a Dreamcast and feel like seeing Sonic before he went COMPLETELY downhill.

RE4 for gamecube was really, really solid. Great balance of shooting and horror atmosphere, really smooth controls. And if you're into it, F-Zero GX was mindblowing. MIND BLOWING.

Yeah, but that particular method has its own set of problems that can make the experience frustrating instead of enjoyable. Even with that method the player base is minimal at best. Also, aside from the online exclusive quest content you don't miss out on too much by adding an Action Replay to the mix. The AR will get you any of the online "exclusive" items you might want for much less trouble. Even lacking online play the game still has tons of content to mow through with local co-op or solo play.

Let me put this simply.
Metroid Prime is one of the best games I've ever played.
Heck, if you can get your hands on a Wii and Metroid Prime Trilogy, I'd recommend that.
But as far as Gamecube games go,
F-zero GX is pretty sweet.
I had a wii but sold it because the games were getting worse on it =/ And I wasn't expecting this many answers. Thanks guys :D (p.s Im gonna be poor after this)

Disagree. It was a great shooter, but I'd put it more in the league of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (whose company head went on to found Retro Studios)--a great game overshadowed by Rare's offerings--than GoldenEye. Of course, it still seemed better than it was, since quality shooters tapered off amid a glut of Halo clones in the early 2000s, meaning few matched the quality of those released in the late nineties, Source notwithstanding (Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, GoldenEye, Jedi Knight, Half-Life, System Shock 2, Blood, Quake II, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Unreal Tournament)

... Metroid Prime is not a shooter.
