Let fat people be fat?
I have grandfather who is 300lb but he trys working out and eatting health(he eats less than me) but has a bad back why should fat people loose rights and why should any goverment step in a tell you what wieght you should be, next it's going to be how you look and dress.

Here's the thing. I'd say I walk for roughly 40 minutes 3 times a week. I also don't eat fast food, yadda yadda. All the rest of it. I had to starve myself to get down to an 'ideal' weight for my height. These things just don't work for many people. Believe us, we've tried them. It's not a matter of "oh just put more effort in".

Incidentally I don't care what people think of my body shape I'm using it as an example for the sake of pointing out a flaw in your debate.

Here's the thing. If I need to starve (and yes, it would be starving) myself for the rest of my life and exercise every day for several hours in order to keep to a culturally ideal weight I refuse to do it and no-one has the right to expect it of me.
Honestly, society has changed quite a bit over time. 'Skinny' was in fact undesirable for many years as having some weight was a sign of status. Personally I'm much more attracted to women who have curves and some 'extra weight'. My wife is overweight (thank goodness she doesn't read these forums!) and I find her perfect like that. I honestly would be afraid of breaking a skinny woman if I even tried to hug her. Granted I'm talking about more then weight there as well, since I prefer women with a heavier bone structure as well. :shrug:

Basically, be happy with yourself. Ignore all the crap society gives you and live life damnit. Constantly worrying about what you're eating day by day is no way to live. Hell, when my wife cooks, she makes soul food and that's part of how she loves me. She likes to feed me, and who am I to turn down my wife's love, right? :big grin:

I was doing satire of commonly used excuses, and trying to be funny. Obviously my attempt at it was "Fail".
I am not talking out of ass about weight loss or making excuses. I am 5'0ft and used to be almost 200 pounds, and resembled a beach ball in shape. I loss over 80 pounds and have kept it all off for over a decade now by just doing those simple things. I was trying to point out if one stops making excuses and faces reality, they have the power to change it.
Yeah but then you have people like me, I know that I'm fat, I know I could change it if I tried but I don't care, I'm happy the way I am and now I'm getting into arguments with people who are ridiculing that for no better reason then they are afraid of their own shortcomings.
1) If you don't care, nothing I write should have any affect on you.
2) I already admitted I was trying to be funny and failed for all to see.
3) I didn't even realize we were arguing.
4) "shortcomings"? Really? "sigh" -_-

None of what you say does bother me, WE were not arguing I have been arguing with people for the last 100 posts on this thread.

I agree with you that the ideal weight to height ratio is complete BS. I am 5'0ft and range between 125 and 130, and I have doctors tell me I still need to lose another 10 to 15 pounds. :p

Eat with healthy foods. You'll lose weight for a while. When you reach a certain weight, you'll start having exercises. Do some cardio in the morning. Right before eating breakfast. You'll burn that fat you have instead of the extra fat you've just eaten.

I don't really give a rat's ass to be honest with you. I worry about my weight and my weight alone and i keep that in check. if they wanna be fat. they can. just means i have more room to chilax on the plane sense all the seats are fitted for large then life people

hmmmm mandatory fat camps. There not allowed to leave, theres no junk food inside and excercise is forced apon them. Maybe they could sleep on those vibrating plates aswell.
