Anyone get REALLY excited for a game anymore? (2005-2010)

Yes. I got so excited for Fallout 3 that I even pre-ordered it. I've never done that before or since.
I also got very, very excited for Mass Effect 2 and Final Fantasy 13.

and a game I may not mention I got super hyped about

Oh hell yea.

I have been a waiter since march 2007 when Arenanet announced there would be a Guild Wars 2.....and now it is already the 30th of May in 2010.....DARNIT I WANT TO PLAY GUILD WARS 2 SOOO BADLYYY xD xD xD. Also, when someone first showed me the light, which is called Brütal Legend, I followed everything about that game, just as I do with GW2 atm. I saw ALL trailers, read every frigging single article I could find that was covering Brütal Legend. I didn't have a PS3 but when Brütal Legend hit the shelves, I bought it the second the loading truck was at our game store The storekeeper told me it JUST came in, they had to open the box to give me the first frigging copy hahahaha!!!! Oh yea, I am bad, I know xD.

I am planning to do the same thing with Guild Wars 2. I have no money at the moment, so I got myself a job, saving up for ultra mega special edition and stuff At this rate, I can only get disappointed by the game, but I don't care!!!!fanboy rulez lol.

So there you have it, excitement through the roof for Guild Wars 2 and Brütal Legend. Count in Archenemy format from Magic the Gathering and their new block Scars of Mirrodin too, if you will

Mass Effect 2 and any Zelda game that isn't on the DS. I'm still pretty excited about Alpha Protocol despite its reviews.

There was Mass effect 2 but that wasn't as bad as Dragon age origins. I literally couldn't sleep for a week and what's worse is it came three days late! Yes I have problems.

Edit: Oh yes and there was Red Dead Redemption (two days late) but still no sleep lost over that, despite it being a FANTASTIC GAME

I was excited for starcraft 2. But then two years rolled along and now I just don't give a damn.

I think I'd be more excited forstuff if I was more in teh loop. I don't have a current gen console and my PC can only play at the bare minimum.

I have been following Split Second for over a year and I am glad it turned out OK. I am also looking forward to War For Cybertron and was anxious for GOW III. 2 of the 3 were marvelous. Let's see how the Transformers will fare.

The anticipation I felt for RE5 and GOW3 almost killed me! RE5 turned out to be everything I expected, and GOW3 was fun, but it had a few plot hole that couldn't be ignored.

I JIZZ for Starcraft 2.

Haven't even tried the beta, because I want the whole SHAZZAAAAMMM experience.

I tried the beta. One of the most underwhelming experiences I've had in ages. And I'm not talking "I got my ass handed to me on Bnet", I'm talking lackluster unit design from hell and old boring mechanics. The Campaign has a LOT of convincing to do if I'm gonna buy this game, and I think SC1 is the greatest RTS of all time.

I wanted Red dead redemption so damn bad, when I finally got it...It exceeded my expections, so much that I collaspe from the awesomeness.

Another game I'm excited for is Alpha protocol...Damn, I want it so badly. Also, Epic ,ickey for the wii...YES.

Recently, I've gotten excited over the new Prince of Persia game. It brings back the sands of time AND as an added bonus, you can actually die in this one. Plus I've also loved the POP series for a long time.

At the moment, I'm having to say New Vegas, Portal 2, this Mysterious Engy update and Pokemon Black/White.

Before that, it was Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.
