I may by from America but patriotism has no role in my motivation to go see Captain America. It could be about Colonel Uganda for all I care; it just looks like a good movie.

OT: I think it looks good. The marketing has been a tad off-putting though: "HEROES... ARE MADE... IN AMERICA." Almost threw up on myself.
In this case, you have to take it with a pinch of self-aware irony. The guy's name is 'Captain America', after all. This is your chance to join the fun and have some laughs at it as well.
I think it was self-aware, I don't think it was ironic. What better way to guarantee viewers outside of fans of the comics than to tap into that "FUCK YEAH!" mentality that dominates various parts of the country?

So I am from the UK (England if you want to be picky) and have seen a few of the Captain America trailers now and I find myself not really giving a crap. Iron man was good. hulk remake was ok. Thor was really good but Captain America do not care. maybe it is because it IS Captain America and like I have said i am not from America and maybe the whole reason alot of people like him is because of the whole America thing.

Maybe its because most WW2 movies to come out of hollywood are just "and then America came and won all by themselves. yay America!!" and I hate that.

For the record this IS NOT a rant about America or WW2 i am well aware that without them Britin could not have lasted much longer than we did and i know alot of American's died as well.

Anyway what do you guys think. About Captain America not the war.
Why do you care? This is like complaining that Dr. Who treats England like its the only place on the planet that actually matters(most of the time). Frequently stuff made in the US treat the US as the center of the world and stuff made in England treat England like its the center of the world. I bet stuff made in France\Russia\China\where ever treat France\Russia\China\where ever like its the center of the world.

I never really cared about Captain America, until I read the Civil War story arc. Now, I think Captain America is pretty awesome and I'm really looking forward to the movie and the upcoming Avengers movie as well.

Seriously though guys, go read Civil War, or at least go find a synopsis about. Ironman is a douche bag. Just sayin'.

I dunno. I heard Captain America is a pretty cool guy, not as much patriotism as his name implies. I'll go see the movie.

I'm from England and I can't wait for Captain America. It looks really good and I've liked all of the other Avenger films (except Iron Man 2, haven't seen it) so I'll definately go to see it. Also, as Moviebob once suggested, Jason Statham as Union Jack would be amazing!

I'm British and really want to see it. I'm a long-standing fan of the character and after seeing the trailer I think it looks like it's going to take the franchise to new heights, and good thing too.

Well, he doesn't bother me at all. The movie looks good and I'll probably watch it.

Besides, I can't be jealous. A Captain Portugal would probably look horrible.

I am loving the Marvel Ultimate movies so far. Seen Thor and Iron Man 2 in theaters. Its naturally I see Captain America in theaters too.

Not just for Captain America but for the surrounding story too. Howard Stark makes an appearance and Hugo Weaving as Red Skull is just plain bad ass.

im actually fairly excited, personally i dont even like Captain America but to me the movie looks really freaking awesome, and Hugo Weaving is playing the Redskull so in my eyes it cant go wrong. in my opinion hes one of the best actors playing one of the best villains, so im more excited for that than the actual Captain America scenes

I'm from the UK, and I think that Cap is a pretty good character. Yes, he's AMERICAN, but frankly I don't care that much. He's American. So what?

It's like in the DC universe, China has thier "super-functionaries", the Great Ten. They're a bunch of pretty cool characters, and it doesn't make a difference that they're Chinese.

Personally I think the movie looks pretty awesome.

I'm British and I'm looking forward to seeing Captain America. I'd like to have seen Union Jack in it, but only because he's a cool character.
