Call me when Macs become a viable gaming platform, and I'll start caring.
But they have 125238527908357290729183 gaming apps for ipod and ipad....
Totally agree with you though. I have a Linux based OS to be my SO SRS operating systems, and windowz to be my gaming system.
I know, I know, but handheld gaming has just never really caught on with me. I got a Gameboy SP back in the day, and never owned more than three games for it.
Excellent choices, by the way, if I was smart enough to run Linux and/or dualboot/had the kind of scratch necessary to compile two PCs, I'd do the same.
I was actually being sarcastic about the ipod/ipad thing haha. Most people don't have tons of exposure to Linux, so it can be really daunting at first. I grew up on an ancient UNIX box, so Linux is second nature to me. But if you get into the community, it's full of people willing to help. If you want to, look into something called Knoppix, you can mount it right to your Windows, and run it as a mounted OS just to get the feel of it, or run it as a distinct OS of itself.
If you want to check it out, here's a link http://www.knoppix.net/ it's rather neat, I think. Allows people to play with a Linux OS without having to partition drives, or anything.
