I wouldn't say I'm attractive, but I wouldn't say I wasn't either.

Not all gamers are dorky...my fiancee is extremely sexy, and he looks MMORPG's.
I really think should be a crime to be that young and attractive and have a fiancee. Throw in being a gamer, and you're looking at a pretty hefty fine... maybe even prison time.
I'm 22, I just look young...it's a thing in my family. Not a bad thing, though XD
22? Seriously? You look like a teenager like 16/17 (Mickey Mouse top isn't helping either :p), I'm the opposite I look like I'm 19/20 and I'm 15 going on 16

I refuse to post a picture to the internet but I've been called cute, good looking even by my male straight friends which is rather disturbing, but to be fair I do wear glasses and I am kinda chubby, muscular I should add but chubby :p

This is the 21st century. Everyone games. Therefore the answer to your question is simply whether you consider any person from the subset 'everyone' to be attractive.

that's like asking are there good looking brunettes

basically comes down to individuals taste

what you mean i assume is the fat gamer with a g15 and wrist support slurping energy drinks all day at his pc more or less than 50%( ie psudo average ) of the gamer community?

( yes, the south-park gamer guy )

personally i'd take a guess at no, it's just not realistic to me
maby hardcore gamers exercise less than they should and may be a few pounds heavier on average, or slightly less healthy overall purely because they spend so much time sitting still

i'd say that's a fair assessment, but does that make someone less good looking? well if they were overweight to begin with, then yes ( in my opinion )

if they are very thin it could even be good for them, i'd say most of that stereotype comes from lazy people doing the only thing they can, or people that society rejects hiding on-line rather than from 'gamers' doing what they love

you can certainly be a gamer and be very attractive, so i'm just going to go with 'obviously' as an answer to this

I just realised i fit almost every nerd stereotype: I am 160 cm long and weigh around 60 kilograms. I have glasses, asperger and quite a hot temper. I am also 14 years old and have never had a partner. My friend on the other hand is skinny, strong, knows some parkour, is 15 and has a girlfriend. He is about as nerdy as me. My first gaming experience was Sim city 2000. His first was Starcraft 1.

Lisa Foiles is pretty, she thinks she is more close the model demographic and she said some things about her body that might get me banned for even quoting, and dissed Ben as good looking (wich is odd, because i think he looks so much better than me)and she said he looked like The guy with the glasses, but less appealing.
What?

She doesn't consider Lisa as a good looking gamer 'cos she looks like a model (defeated her own point) and something about her body.

Ben is good looking (again defeating her own point) and who is the guy with the glasses, there must be billions of people that fit that description.

This topic is quite weird, "all people who do such a thing are ugly" how does that even work?

On topic. Due to unfortunate genetics and a love of pasta, coupled with an extreme case of lazyness, I have morphed into a typical "gamer".

I am not that fat (with even slightly baggy clothes I look skinny, it's just my belly looks like I am due to drop a kid)

I have had bad eye sight since about 5, so I have worn glasses so long there is now a noticable groove along my head.

I am really oily skin, which takes a few creams to keep at ease. Bane of my life ...

Vin Diesel plays D&D quite hardcore, I believe, and Felicia Day is just...insanely pretty and she used to be addicted to WoW to a dangerous degree; not to mention that she writes and stars in The Guild.

I wouldn't go as far to say everyone. In fact, I can think of an endless list of people who don't. There are also different definitions of a "gamer" of course, and so that also plays a role in the whole topic. Do you consider a soccer mom who buys an electronic Sudoku for her sons gameboy, and then confiscates it after he's asleep to play her new found toy a gamer?

My point is with that is that there are immeasurable amount of factors in this topic, varying from personal taste in people all the way to what you even consider what a "gamer" is.

Anywho, the ultimate answer to this is yes, there are "attractive" gamers. This thread also answered that a long time ago, this just happened to turn itself into a facebook forum session.

As gaming expands, we're gradually moving away from the "basement-dweller" stereotype, whilst there might have been some credit to it 10-15 years ago, nowadays it's just baloney. Everybody and their dog plays videogames, from little kids to the CEO of MegaCorp Inc. They might not be games in the "traditional" sense (Angry Birds rather than Super Mario), but they're games nonetheless.

If you want to get at the core of this question, you'll have to ask "Are nerds good looking/ugly?" A "Nerd" then being:

Wiktionary said:
A person who is intellectual, skilled in one or more fields, and generally introverted
And yet again, why not? Intellectualism is nothing that prevents you from taking care of yourself.

And also:

I look alriiight. In a vaguely scruffy metalhead way. I haven't had the stereotypical problems with gettin a girlfriend and she's good looking so meh I'm fairly sure I can't look too bad. Got a reasonably good amount of muscle etc too and i'm nowhere near fat so that probably helps.
No spots or glasses.

Only thing that really matches the stereotype with me is bad hair. I don't really know what to do with it so it just ends up being a vaguely moppy thing.

Anyways Vin Diesel is a gamer and apparently a wow-nerd and he gets women pregnant just by winking at them so I think the stereotype is just wrong tbh.

In my opinion you are all quite good looking, and while my sister WAS acting like a total idiot when she implied that, she took it back and apologized, so theres absolutely no need to call my sister a *****, or say for the UPTEENTH time that 'Omg that question is stupid' and other OBVIOUS remarks.
We've already made a point like that earlier on the thread, so if you keep insulting my sister and posting hateful comments to someone who was clearly wrong and apologized and comments that simply imply the obvious fact that hobbies have nothing to do with the looks of people i am going to call a mod to delete this thread because apparently people don't seem to be mature enough to read the whole thread but ARE mature enough to make statements and express hate towards people...oh wait, thats not mature at all.

Good looking to who?
The girls I've dated or flirted with have considered me good looking but I doubt I rank very high on the general consenus. One of the few cases of beauty being in the eye of the beholder to most extent is this one.
So yeah, there will be gamer geeks are actually good looking (to some) just as there will be models who are unattractive (to some).
