Pretty much everybody hates America, but yes I'm very patriotic. America is a much better place than everyone thinks. Some people don't realize this until they visit a place without the freedoms that we are priviliged to have here.
Also we are not all fat, ignorant, gun toting, Obama bashing, Mountin Dew chugging sons o' bitches.
Some of you drink Pepsi?

Nope, not even vaguely a patriot. Why would I care about an accident of birth? Especially in a country where its government appears to actively work against its own inhabitants.

I like my country, I don't love it. There's many other places I'd rather live, like Holland for instance (yes, I smoke too much Dope).

I think patriotism is not healthy. Just assuming your country is somehow superior to other countrys because you were born there is the exact type of irritating short sightness I cant stand.
Well this sums my POV perfectly.

I'm not patriotic at all, I'm moving to Canada as soon as I get my degree. That being said there are some things I do love about it though I am very much of the opinion that they happened a long time ago and aren't something that reflects the country now, those being the language, literature, art and music.

I do like how the £ kicks the arse out of everything else so that everywhere I go is cheap.

I abhor the hypocrisy in my own government, and the apathy of my country's people.
Despite all of that, there is still something worth protecting here, so...sure.
But call me a 'jaded idealist' rather than a 'patriot'; It seems to be more accurate.

I'm a very patriotic Canadian. I love the Beaver (The Animal >_>), Poutine and when someone has no idea what that is, and being Number 8 on the Global Peace Index rating.

I love my country (Canada). It's a pretty good place, and besides, where else would I want to go?
Hell, I wanted to punch a guy because he was listening to his iPod during the national anthem.

I love my country enough to protect it from harm (by joining the Navy upon graduation from college). My patriotism could be summed up with Morgan Freeman's saying at the end of Se7en "Some say the world is a good place and worth defending...I believe in the second part." Just replace world with United States. As to why, I just believe that I should pay something back for all the opportunities that I have had (it only makes sense).

Nope. Live in USA. I'm really getting sick of everyone bitching about Obama, bitching about socialism, bitching about the new health care system... ugh. There are even people bitching about Obamacare or whatever and what they are bitching about is an act that is still in place from when Bush was in the White House. And I'm almost positive at least 50% of the people going on about socialism don't know what it even is. I really want to move to Norway. :/

Hell yes. God bless America, land of the free. We have one of the best national anthems, some of the greatest minds of the modern era and, I mean, come on, we're fucking America.

I'm pretty sure the only reason haters be hatin on America is because times are bad. And when times are bad, people ALWAYS blame the government. Seriously.

Could be living in much worse places.
But i would never throw my live away for a piece of cloth and a name for some landmass.

Nope.
Dad raised me not to be and I now concur with him.

Went to Norwegian National Day every year tho, because for Norwegians living abroad, like me, it is a social event to meet fellow Norwegians.

I have little feelings for Germany as a country but like Norway I'm quite happy to be a (double) citizen, because life there is pretty good. So its kinda ironic I'm living somewhere else entirely now (Netherlands) but life here is good too.

Unless it is Queen's Day, which was really, really disturbing to someone with not an ounce of patriotism.

Wasn't born in the U.S., and when I first came here, I hated it and begged my parents not to let us become citizens.

However, I like it here now, and while I don't consider myself a full-bred patriot, I'm content with my becoming a citizen in October.
