Are you getting Bulletsorm or Killzone 3?

bulletstorm looks awesome. i will nab it when it hits a steam sale. i need a new computer first though. im working on saving up. i need 600 dollars.... anyone wanna donate?

If you think 600 dollars will get you anywhere on High-Very High from 2011-2014, you're severely wrong. However, if you're OK with playing Low-Mid settings, than 600 bucks can last you till Q4 2012... which is probably when Diablo III will come out .

sandy bridge i5: $200, 4gb ram $50, 2 tb hdd $100 and recycle my SSD, monitor, case, psu, get ATI hd 6850 or nvidia gtx 460 $200. adding another later for crossfire/sli when i have more money. i know what im doing. i should be fine.

edit: my laptop from 2 years ago that cost 450 still runs all games - including crysis at at least medium settings with 30+ fps.

I got a very heavy case of battle fatigue after play KZ2 for a while. Run over here, kill the wave of baddies, run over there, kill another wave of baddies. It was just the same thing over and over. On the other hand, I have played the BS demo multiple times and it was a blast finding new ways to kill hapless victims. It is not just leash-pull-kick-repeat, there is much more to it if you are creative enough. My budget can only handle one FPS this month and it is going to be Bulletstorm.

The impression I have been getting from people who been claiming that BulletStorm will be gimmicky and repetitive just have the wrong mindset about playing the game.

I plan on getting Killzone 3 eventually, just not for a while.

Before anyone mentions it, I am not a huge multiplayer player. Online features don't influence my shopping habits as much as the single player feature.

Wow you know that's a good question I didn't realise they were out on the same day. I didn't get on with Killzone 2 at first but after tweeking the control sensitivity and realising aiming down the sights isn't realy needed I got sucked in to it and found it far more interesting than most shooters out now.

I liked Bulletstorm but for some reason it felt cheap, I don't know how to describe it, it just feels like I would buy it only when it's on sale whereas with Killzone 3 I could see myself buying it day one and getting my moneys worth. So killzone I guess though even with that I may wait, damn you marvel vs capcom 3 for taking my money this month.

I don't think I'll get either. I considered Bulletstorm but I played the demo and its not really my style. I like crazy over-the-topness, but it might have been too much. I might pick it up when its cheaper. And I've never been a Killzone fan so no chance of that.

Most likely Bulletstorm. People who say it will get old are bullshitting, or are just saying it to try and fit in. I keep replaying the demo, and try creative kills on every single enemy, because it's just too damn fun.

Definately getting Bulletstorm, not sure on KZ3. The beta had some issues and I got annoyed with it.

Also curious; why do I keep hearing this whole "Bulletstorm's killshot "gimmick" is going to get old after a while" thing? It makes no sense. In every other fps you just repeatedly aim down the sights and shoot people in the same old way with the same old guns every single time and nobody ever gets bored with that, but in BS there are more ways to kill people than in any other fps and somehow that's a "boring gimmick"?

Tell me, do you plan on doing over the top kills on every enemy? No you, won't by the end of the game you'll find yourself doing the same pull enemy towards me then kick him combo. Other games like KZ3 have online multiplayer that has various game modes to keep it geeling fresh.

Killzones multiplayer modes are fresh? Those same modes that I played 1000 times already in the last game and which haven't changed a bit? Ok then...

Well it's not like you HAVE yo use skillshots. You still have guns, and they still kickass, so you can just playi it like any other shooter if that's what you want, and just use skillshots occasionally. You'll prolly get a shitty score, but hey, I play games for fun, not numbers.

Yeah like the new Operations mode, the bigger maps than before, the more weapons than the last game, the better spawn system, the mech suit and the jetpack and the new abilities for each class that weren't there in KZ2 are nothing new

Bulletstorm. At least they are releasing it on PC.

Though with a PC upgrade, im looking at Crysis 2, and later on this year (though in DICE EA langauge, meaning, sometime next year) Battlefield 3

Already have Bulletstorm preordered. Today's shooter market needs more games that openly embrace immaturity and silliness.

That said, I'll still play KZ3, but only as a weekend rental. It'll be a distraction from my studies, like the last one, but I'm not willing to pay more than 5 Euros for the experience.

No, I'm not. Got enough games left over from the Steam sale, KZ3's PS3 exclusive anyway. Might pick up Bulletstorm cheap a year or two down the line cos it does look jokes, but Dead Space 2 was my last major purchase for a while.
