Excusé moi, mon ami? I'm not sure I follow your point here.
Respawn. Find where your enemies respawned. Then most go from A-B. They both kinda run at each other. I run the long way around and come up behind their line. It works constantly. Try it :D

He means they all stand still in two lines and shoot at each other, like in the days of muskets.

If that was meant ironically I apologise, the humidity is interfearing with my sense of humour
The 'excuse moi' was ironic, aye, as I'm very English :p

No, I got that. I was more questioning your name dropping of the British Redcoats.

I am sorry but lately almost every post I have seen lately has said "The cheapest ____" or what they should take out in the next game.

People constantly say that martyrdom or Grenade launchers are cheap in CoD 4. Or that the Rocket launcher is noobish in Halo 3.

I am getting sick of it, every game has some things that are a bit overpowering it happens. I honestly dont think anything is really cheap or noobish, you use what the game gives you, that is how it is supposed to be.

So overall I am just sick of people crying over weapons and such. Sorry I just had to vent it out. It was quite annoying.
Weapons are fine, the only thing that really pisses me off is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY in soul calibur

I agree. I enjoy Gears 2 online, and people are all the time bitching about chainsaws or bitching about shotguns... just play the damn game. If someone is using something "over-powered" or easy to use in the game... so what, you can use it too.

What I don't like are things like spawn camping. You shouldn't sit there with a sniper ready to pick someone off the millisecond they spawn... that is a dick move. You also shouldn't use things like a lag switch... that is cheating. Other than things like that, if it is in the game, it is fair game.

Only one of those that is really nooby is martyrdom. Seriously, it's annoying as hell to everyone else and requires no skill to use since it's automated.

In halo 3, I find it funny when people say that when I'm using melee attacks (Assault rifle and sniper for example) that I am a horrible noob. Don't get it.

I think they need to meet half-way with some things too. Make it not cheap but not overpowered. Like taking the juggernaught alot of people hate and make it so the better you are doing, the less extra health you get. So if you are royally sucking, It evens out the game a bit. But if you are using it to a ridiculous advantage, The amount of health gained is minimal.

I don't know if noobish is the proper term, but leaning on a overpowered weapon as a crutch to me does indicate a lack of confidence in one's skills. Or perhaps it's just laziness, I have to be pushing things or I'm not enjoying myself. Camping in a protected perch and firing off the most powerful weapon in the game... well it's just boring to me. I generally group people that do it in with the same people that play the single player with godmode on, I don't understand them at all. What's the point if there is no real challenge?

Anyhow, if someone calls me out, I'll usually make a point of pistol whipping them or knifing them in the back just to let them know who's boss...

These days it seems the people screaming noob are in fact the new people, or younger kids that just can't talk noise properly. For them School will be starting back up soon, and you'll be seeing less of them in your servers.
Your logic is CHEAP!
/Sarcasm.

On topic, tons of people are like that. Just proceed what you're doing to further piss them off and make them realize no one gives a flying shit

I can remember when I started playing Games, I obviously took the one hit weapon. It required no skill, as a newbie I didn't even had some, and I could gather some points. But with time I got better and realized that it was starting to get real cheap and I decided not to do it so that everyone had fun.

My point is, taking the one hit wonder weapon is, in fact, noobish beavior. Oh and comparing real war with a online game seems pretty stupid. Games are there to have fun. And using things that are taking the fun out of games is kinda dumb. In the end you don't die, unlike real war, so make it fun for everybody.

I agree 100% with this.

People think certain aspects of games are cheap for a reason. The grenade launcher in CoD 4 requires practically no skill; aim in the general direction of someone, fire, and hope they don't hide behind a wall. And it's a one-hit kill.
Huh? When I play, I shoot someone directly with it, they keep on running...and I fall down, bullet ridden, since "homeboy" and his buddies decide to unload all their ammo into my corpse...
Maybe they saw you first. That's interesting... I've just randomly intercepted people's grenade launcher shots 10 feet away and died instantly. Many times.

If it's cheap or unfair, why is it in the game. It's not like a Rocket Launcher in Halo 3 is a Nuke that kills everyone on the map.

Yes, the complaints are annoying.

[a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/skill[2]"]Merriam-Webster: Skill[/a]
2 a: the ability to use one's knowledge effectively and readily in execution or performance b: dexterity or coordination especially in the execution of learned physical tasks
3: a learned power of doing something competently : a developed aptitude or ability .

Essentailly, being effective and efficient at a certain task with the resources available. If one gun is more powerful than another, using it rather than the less effective weapon is "skill". If the over-powered weapon is available to all, being able to kill someone with the same weapon first is "skill". If the weapon is limited, acquiring it first is "skill". Not having the super-weapon and killing someone who does have it, also "skill".

Unless you're using a hack, glitch, or other means of circumventing how the game is intended to be played, I don't see how it could be a "cheat". Unless you're just making a classic mistake that new players tend to, I don't see how it could be "noobish".
