I'll be fine with the cliff hangers as long as they make a good resolution. I DON'T WANT A ***** ENDING!

I hope they play with the Red Scare. No one has the balls to even touch that these days. What wih America losing in Vietnam.
I'm just curious, what do you mean by Red Scare? Russians have been used a ton lately as strawmen bad guys in video games, Cold War mentality makes them an enemy that comes off as just plain evil to Westerners, just like the Nazis. The newest Call of Duty is going to be in Vietnam, as is the new Bad Company. By Red Scare do you mean the one in the 1920s or the one in the 1950s?

The Red Scare of 1950's. When people were terrified of the belief of Communism, not just Russia.

Either make a Game about Desmond, 19 century Napoleon \ industrial age. French revolution ala Musketeers. But somehow I would really like to play a game with those ancient assassins in AC2, but i guess it would be to much work, but imagine... freerun through ancient Rome, Babylon, China...

I have a few ideas for the time frame for the Assassin's Creed 3
1) Either Edo or Meiji Period Japan
2) Russia during the Fall of the Romanovs (Rasputin had the Piece of Eden during this time according to Assassin's Creed 2)
3) WWI or WWII if they can do it right (Which I'm a little skeptical about)
4) Present-day with Desmond actually doing the assassinations (Due to the Bleeding Effect he does have both Eagle Vision and the climbing abilities. Besides, I want to finally put a blade to Vidic's back.)
I think these would be perfect time-frames for the franchise to head to next. I choose these particular periods because Assassin's Creed has always taken place during a time where new ideas and conspiracy have been at their peak.

how about they set it in somalia right around the time the US invades, they can blame the templars for that too, because they wanted to get the thingummy from the dictator. and then they fuck up and the raid goes bad.

1900s or 1930s would be interesting, have it leading up to the wars. But no bloody WWII and seriously Japan would kill my interest, it would be just another ninja game, there are other Asian nations out there if you really want to move it.

Cold War. AC3 should take place in the Cold War.

Whens the last time you played a Cold War game (excluding MGS3)?

I've never played as Ass Creed game but if they made one were your a ninja or samurai in Japan I would be all over that shit. Then again Nolan North voicing a japanese guy would be kind of wierd...

I'm not sure if this means I should buy the game or not. The story must be a nice mindfuck to get a big rise out of the actors, and it should be just as captivating. I didn't like AC2, though.

I'm going to wait until the flop to see if this game is any good.

Well, which Red Scare? There were two, one in the 1920's after WWI and again after WWII, but we call that the Cold War.

Anyway, I believe Bad Company is going to Vietnam. Besides, I don't see the point of doing an AC game set in those times. Then again, I didn't really play them, so I can't say much.

Colonial America, please. Either that or Britain in the Victorian era. And I certainly wouldn't say no to a western setting.

I'd like the American Revolution, the technology level wouldn't be to high and it brings the blood line to america, which it has too eventually.

WW2 and Japan are over used anyway.

wow lol its kind of nice to know the voice actor is THAT interested in the plot of the game...and really, did we NOT see this coming for the next AC to have a cliffhanger...so long as its not as bad as AC1s ending i think it will be fine.

as for the next time period, while the American/french revolutions would be my choices (and of course just being in the present with Desmond) i think an interesting one could be going to relive Desmond's father's memories, if you remember from the first game his parents lived as assassins with other people in a secluded farm that was off the grid (where Desmond escaped from at 16 which is why the Templars found him.)

depending on how old Desmond's dad was when he was born, i would say...60s at the earliest(Vietnam), maybe 70s and very early 80s

I'd say 1700's era London or Paris. 2 things you need in AC.

1) Good architecture for free-running.
2) A time-period where swords and daggers are more commonplace than guns.

I think Western Europe could be a good setting. Japan would also be a good one, too. But WW2 with all of it's guns, I just don't see it working.
