Well they should also ban axe's because once somewhere someone murdered someone with an axe so anyone who is potentially a murderer might have base instincts to use that axe upon seeing it. I'm a huge fan of personal responsibility, and this is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while...oh wait the State of the Union was on earlier...

I don't think I'd want to live in australia, where the only porn I can get involves this:

Nothing to see here.
Fix'd

[sub]But seriously, delete that, you're practically asking for a suspension.[/sub]
I find the fixed version slightly more amusing, truth be told. It kinda sums up their attitude towards censorship.

Has anybody else noticed that Australia is slowly becoming that evil British government in the V for Vendetta comics?
Actually Britain is becoming the evil British government from V for Vendetta.

They're going to put cameras in the sky.
And everyone will be wearing burkas or whatever the fuck those islamic fundamentalists wear. Accepting Shariah laws, WRONG MOVE EUROPE. Ban those bitches and, yeah, that's it. They don't deserve special treatment.
I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about. If you're interested in discussion religion, perhaps the Religion and Politics subforum is more your style?
Hmm, my irony sense is tingling.

I believe it's politics. And any country that's formed on the idea that human rights are important (most of the west, really) and yet still accepts religious laws that are sexist and absolutely outdated in every aspect in the name of some kind of pathetic liberalism deserves to be, uh, ridiculed on interwebs. Or something.

That's what I was talking about, by the way.
Oh, I do agree with that ideal, no doubt about it. Britain's a little wonky. They're working on getting flying UAV cameras up and running to patrol areas for minor offenses, but allow a religious and cultural ideology that promotes sexism. It's a sticky issue.

Pales in comparison to boobs amirite?

You can take solace in the fact that France seems hell-bent on banning the burqua, I suppose.

I think all the birds with small tits should go on a topless riot!
Women protesting topless got it legal for women to be topless in public here in Canada... Never seen any though so I wonder if there was a point to it...

OT: wow.... just... wow... I think Australia is broken.

And with an awesome name like Australian Sex Party they sure aren't being sexy or a fun party...

I think they were the ones pointing it out, it's the classification board that's causing the problems.

Well diddle my dog. Another silly, unnecessary political move like this and I'm shipping out to the States.

Perhaps we could start a collection, hire Sasha Grey to bonk the relevant parties until they see the light...

I kid, I kid.

(And if you don't know who Sasha Grey is, search "The Girlfriend Experience". Please do not do a generalized web search on Sasha Grey and then accuse me of warping your little mind.)

But more seriously... Is closeted pedophiles lusting after women who are over eighteen really that frightening? Isn't the possibility of them lusting after genuinely under-eighteen women in their area much, much scarier?
