The first Metal Gear wasn't on the Nintendo 64, but they still made the remake a Gamecube exclusive. The first Perfect Dark wasn't on the Xbox, but they still made Perfect Dark: Zero an Xbox 360 exclusive. All the games in a series don't have to be on one publisher's consoles for a new game to be viable. I'm sure there are many other examples.PunkRex said:What!? Im getting a WiiU but, WHAT!? Thats dumb, was the first even on the Wii, why they do this?
Aren't both of those games remakes and not sequels though? Kinda different.ToastiestZombie said:The first Metal Gear wasn't on the Nintendo 64, but they still made the remake a Gamecube exclusive. I fucking loved the first Bayonetta. LOVED it! One of few games that I can still play through from start to finish and not get bored at a single part. This seriously fucking sucks.
Perfect Dark: Zero was a sequel. Albeit it sucked, but at the time people wanted it. And still, my point stands. Loads of games have had a console exclusive sequel, and exclusives sell systems. Why get angry over something EVERYONE has been begging Nintendo for for years? Third party exclusives!anthony87 said:Aren't both of those games remakes and not sequels though? It's a majority, really. There are more kiddy games on the Wii then Mature games.j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:Jesus, where did this impression that Nintendo consoles only have kiddy games come from?DJ_DEnM said:You'll see in a few months Nintendo will be catering to the family audience only again, and Bayonetta 2 reviews' only negative aspect would be it's on the WiiU. Nobody wins.
Did you not play No More Heroes? Madworld? Muramasa? Dead Space Extraction? Metroid bloody Prime?
It sure as hell ain't a win for anybody who supported Bayonetta who don't have plans on getting a WiiU ever or anytime soon.Fappy said:I can understand the rage. I can't think of any franchises that went exclusive in their core line of games after having been multi-platform. It's a win for Nintendo in any case.
People aren't annoyed that it's an exclusive. People are annoyed that it's a sequel that's an exclusive. If this was the first game then the reaction would be along the lines of a shrug of the shoulders along with a "Huh, would've liked to try that. Too bad".Midgeamoo said:Oh... you mean they're doing the same thing... that all the other consoles do? Get exclusives? That people want?
OH WAIT, it's NINTENDO, so this move is twice as bastardish as it would be for any other company because waah waah PS3, waah waah 360 waah waah casual console for kids unlike the one I PICKED.
Which is why I left out ninja gaiden in the first place, although wall running isn't exactly the greatest innovation. Throw shurikens? No, you're right, they can't ... however, kratos has a magic bow, Dante (inferno) has white crosses, Bayonetta and DMC Dante has guns.j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:snip
