Basing it on just looks, XIII. Or Borderlands.
I like stuff that looks comicy. :x

Otherwise Bioshock. They did a real good job creating such a disturbing atmosphere. It creeped me out the whole game.

I think Bioshock. The only problem with it is that it got far, far less artsy as the game progressed. I just beat it like 20 minutes ago, and last night I brought it to my friends house, started a new game on his Xbox, and played through the first level. I was in awe about how much I had missed and just ran through. It's beautiful, really. The shadows were draping over the majority of the level, you could tell the designers spent so much time on it (that's expected though since it's the opening). Later in the game everything seems to be either lit up, hard to see, or laid out right in front of you. I want a game to be explorable till the very end-I don't want to be able to expect what's going to happen or not be surprised at what I see.

These are too obvious. I'm going with halo 3.

Go on to This link [http://www.bungie.net/Online/CommunityFiles.aspx] and be amazed at some of the screenshots people have made. That's what I call art.

Shadow of the Collosus, of course. Beyond Good & Evil, Fallout 3, and Team Fortress 2 are prime candidates as well.

For me art is about conveying a message. So good art is one that conveys that message well.

So games like the Final Fantasy or Shin Megami Tensei series are well done in my eyes.

As for actual art style, Psychonauts will always be one of the most remember-able art styles (not sure if thats actual a word) for me.

Odin Sphere & Okami were amazing too.

May I just butt in to say when he says 'Games are art examples' he doesn't want to know the art style of the game - it means excellent storytelling; deep plot and generally a more thought driven experience.

Therefore Tf2 is definitely not art.

All games are obviously art, but if I had to cite one as a great example of artistry, I would say Golden Sun.

1)Okami!!!! Gorgeous use of colors and Japanese art.
2)Katamari Damacy. It has a definite quirky style.
3)Psychonauts. Every level in that game is amazing.

I think all games are art. Some are more artistic than others, obviously, but they are all art.

But the best example would be Okami. That game was absolutely beautiful in every way.

But if we were specifically talking storytelling art, Final Fantasy VII takes it all.

I guess Half-Life 2:Ep 2 and Bioshock as they are the only games which actually made me feel anything apart from bloodthirsty glee.

EDIT: and Diablo 2 for being so damn atmospheric. Not so much the expansion, but definitely the vanilla version
