FPS: Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis
- This game was the first to offer a large, open gameworld that allowed the player to tackle objectives from any angle.
- It offered the most realism at the time; often killing the player off after a single hit. There were not medpacks, no second chances, and sometimes forced the player to improvise WAY outside their comfort zone.
- The story was great!
- The editor was amazing, and RIDICULOUS amounts of user-generated content was released as a result!
- The community was, and still is amazing!
MMO: World of Warcraft
- It rose to popularity EXTREMELY quickly
- It offers a HUGE gameworld
- Well, it has sucked the souls of millions away, so it must could for something right?
SANDBOX: Minecraft
- HUGE GAMEWORLD!!!!!!111!!!11!!!!!!!!1!!!!
- Gameplay is limited only by the player's imagination
- The price is excellent for the amount of gameplay you get
- Cooperative building has never been more fun!

RTS: Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
- This was quite possibly the las great Command & Conquer game that I can remember spending countless hours playing
- Multiplayer was a blast! My friends and I would play for hours!!!
