i nominate three games for equally inportant reasons:
1) Halo, for putting the Xbox on the map as a console.
2) Civilization 5: because it's awesome.
3) Half-life: for allowing us to continue the adventures of our old mute friend Gordan Freeman.

RPG: TES: Oblivion (Mass Effect, although good, is too confined for me. Plus the shooting mechanics weren't great)

You can't have ME2, decade goes from 2000 to 2009, 2010 is not part of the 00's, just like 1990 is not part of the 80's and that the year 2000 is not part of the 90's.
