1.Portal is my most obvious 1st choice. I don't know if I have anything to complain about, and neither did Yahtzee. If Yahtzee manages to like it with NO hatred, it must be really good.
2. SIlent Hill 2. Funny, Yahtzee likes this too. The gameplay is a little meh, but the story and atmosphere are so great that I've played it through about 8 times. AND IT DOESN'T GET OLD. Plus, we wouldn't have Pyramid Head. Hw can you say no to this face?

Sorry i'm still slightly confused by the series scoring thing. If i say Mass Effect (series) then am i giving Mass Effect1 and 2 each HALF a vote? because if that is so, I vote only
Mass Effect1.

If voting for series does NOT divide my vote Then: Mass Effect (series)

Edit: i just realized the gravity of the task that you have willingly undertaken, and just wanted to say: Good Luck! and happy.....poll counting!

The greatest game of all time was released in 2004. So therefore Rome: Total War must be Game of the Decade since it's Game of the...ummm...EVER.

Now if only Minecraft had actually been released, which it hasn't been...
Myself and the other nearly 900,000 people who've bought the game beg to differ.

Technically it's in beta, but if Notch called it done tomorrow and put it on Steam it would still be the game of the decade, so it still gets my nomination.

Tough choice between Baldur's Gate 2, Resident Evil 4 and Persona 3.

Since my favorite genre remains JRPG's I guess my nomination is Persona 3: FES (or Persona series in general).

WoW, Fallout 3 or new vegas, Modern Warfare or world at war, halo-halo reach, red dead redemption, oblivion, half life 2.
I just can't decide!

Thing is though, if you allow Minecraft, then you'll have to allow all the other game betas released so far as well. Men of War: Assault Squad had a multiplayer beta earlier this year, but isn't coming out until next year. Does this mean it can be nominated for GotY 2 years in a row?

Similar logic applies to Game of the Decade. Minecraft could win GotD for 2001-2010 in its beta stage, then when it's fully released in the next decade, win GotD then too. The only way to prevent this would be to disallow Minecraft from earning any awards after this year - or alternatively, to wait until its full release to hand out the awards.

I already covered this in another thread...here it is *pulls out ratchet and clank screen*

I thought about this, and I have come to the conclusion that my finger is numb for some reason...anyways on topic I say that this title should not exist. For the same reason that two crimes cannot be compared(OMG OCEANS 12 REF!!!) games cannot be compared to the point where one is better than the other. While some may be voted better by a majority, there is no "Best game". Elements from different games are awesome and there are so many good games, there can't be a best one. I loved Crash 3, but I also loved Bioshock. I loved Malice and I loved Fable 3. But being asked to choose just one as the best? Impossible.

...Unless all the other games you're comparing one to are copies of (insert most hated title here for lolz)

Yeah, on the one hand it's too flawed to be the best of the decade, but when I look at all the other deeply flawed games getting nominated, this could actually stand a chance of being the best thing out there.
