Ruby. I liked the graphic upgrade, the region, the story ad the Pokemon Well, most of the pokemon.

Nostalgic favorite remains to be Yellow though. ^^

I'm going to go with White right now. It all feels so fresh and good.
Thats a surprise, alot of people i know hate the way the new games are :)
Maybe, but I like the feel. Its so much more natural feel in White, and the contrast from black actually makes these game feel likes its really different from each other more so then the other generations. Plus the new pokemon make the games fresher, so you dont see noobs walking around flaunting theiir Smogon Charizards and Garchomps and Dragonites and such.

I also like the way they changed the game, where the bag is unlimited (though the lower number of boxes is rather offputting, since I'm one of those people who breeds pokemon for trade). Just a lot of stuff is nice in them.

Silver, Gold had bad sprites.

Also, Soul Silver lacks the whole nostalgic 8-Bit factor and wonder about actually having 251 Pokemon. Soul Silver we already knew about 400 whatever Pokemon there were in Pearl.

i really didn't! i have a friend who still plays pokemon like a religion and he had a file on saphire that lasted for 650 hours before it got corrupted and he lost his data, in the latest game, he's beaten the elite four, got all of the legendaries and is now working on a "sneaky" team and an ice team. still, he's the kind of person who plays really competitavely, EV trains all of his pokemon and is always working on a new strategy to annoy you if you face him, and he hass another friend who does the same thing, so they're constantly in competition

I enjoyed them all for different reason.

1st gen because it was like a live MMO in the school yard.

2nd gen because it was just an amazing upgrade with tons of new features.

4th gen because I learned how to properly play.

Even though I went far out of my way to get 3rd gen I didn't really like it as they removed a lot of things I enjoyed from 2nd and I have yet to pick up 5th gen. Trying to avoid picking it up actually.

Blue, if only because after that, pokemon started looking stupider and stupider with every sequel.

Why are you trying to avoid it? is it incase it ruins pokemon for you or something? :)

I still love GSC, but Black and White has such a cool new world to explore, they're a close second. The harsh difficulty spike after you beat the elite 4 in Black/ White and lack of a compensating vs seeker makes me side with GSC.

They actually will increase the number of boxes from 8 to 24 once you are done with the main story and get the National Pokédex.

Personally, I'm enjoying Black/White. I dare say, with everything they've added up to this point, this may actually be the first generation of Pokémon games where I will not have to use an Action replay to fix some of the broken issues.

Blue/Yellow purely for nostalgia. I was king of my little nerd clique of poképals at school.

Game wise, White is proving to be the most awesome and story based engaging. If I had one complaint it's that pokémon don't follow you around anymore, like in yellow/HGSS.

Also, Blastoise, Nidoking and Braviary are the most ass kickingy ass kickers to have ever kicked ass.
Hey! Pidgeot is much better than bravairy........just sayin......otherwise Blastoise and Nidoking pwn the bitches lol

I put ~400 hours in pearl once I learned how to properly IV/Move breed and EV train trying to get a team I was proud of.

I just don't feel like going through the grind again. Since I've played Pokemon from Gen 1 I have a clear idea of EXACTLY how a Pokemon game plays out and I just don't think it's worth my time. I know that there are some slight changes and such but at it's core it's still the same game i've been playing since 1998.

But believe me I really want to pick it up, a bunch of guys at the office have it and the temptation is definitely there.

I'd rather spend my money and more importantly my time on a new experience. I could take Bass lessons, learn how to make chiptune music, continue making clay models, read comics, draw more.

If I want to play Pokemon i'll just hop on Shoddy Battle and get my PvP fix without the need for the grind.

Still though, I can talk my ass off about Pokemon and it's intricacies due to it being an extremely guilty pleasure of mine.
