Best RPG(s) You've ever Played

I absolutely love Final Fantasy X and VIII, followed by VII, IX and XII.
I love Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect aswell. I especially like Mass Effect because I like tactical shooters and RPGs and I love space, so it was like a dream come true to get a game that combines the 3! (can't wait for number 2 either!)

Oblivion and Fallout 3 deserve honourable mentions but for me they're not right up there with FF, KOTOR and ME.

The World Ends With You, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Disgaea 2, and Tales of Symphonia still remain some of my favourite RPGs, but one of my lesser known gems is Threads of Fate, on the original Playstation. That was my first RPG, and it's just kinda stuck on me over all the years... I still find myself going back to it every now and again and smiling in nostalgic bliss =]

TWEWY(The World Ends With You a.k.a It's a Wonderful Life) It's so damn original and the soundtrack is super special awesome. Although you really have to wonder how eating enough ice cream cones can make a Japanese adolescent male willing to wear a miniskirt.....

Neverwinter Nights, simply because of the great toolset. Countless hours have been spent playing mods, and I even tried (and failed) making one myself.

persona 3! what a sad commentary on the obscurity of shin megami tensei, this thread...more people need to play persona. 3 and 4 are amazing, 2 is also engaging but the translation is hysterically bad.

knights of the old republic, naturally, even though it was buggy as shit (see what i did there?) and froze all the time.

why has NOBODY said ocarina of time? for a very long time that game was the best one ever!

golden sun 1 AND 2, though 1 i will admit was quite short.

actually, all the tales games. but vesperia has the best protagonist. yuri's just badass.
