Best way a video game broke the 4th wall.

There was an old X-Men game for the Mega Drive that had an awesome fourth-wall moment. Me and a friend were playing co-op in Mojo's World (a world built around television and entertainment) and the "game" suddenly displays a bunch of binary nonsense and "system reset".

Of course, we have no idea what the hell "it" wants, since we'd never encountered anything like it before, and pressing the reset button, for all that we knew, was only going to kill all our progress. After a lot of debate and discussion about whether or not the "reset" was something in-game or the actual button on the console, we risked it, pressed the button, and lo and behold, the game threw a hissy fitt... and allowed us to continue.

Earthbound, easily. Halfway through the game, they ask you for YOUR name. Then at the end, where everybody simultaneously wills your party to succeed, it talks about you willing Giygas to die and you do epic damage. The best way of breaking the wall EVER.

At one point, you get drugged. At one point in this sequence, you answer a phone and it goes into a graphic novel storytelling segment (as the series is known for), containing the line "Max, you're in a graphic novel", then shortly after you have to repeat the process, but the line has changed to "Max, you're in a video game".
I have to admit, that scene really did my head a twist. That, and the way Max was staring out at you from the screen... it was kinda eerie.

In StarCraft, I think it was Artanis or Phoenix who said "This is not WarCraft in space! It's much more sophisticated... I know it's not 3D!"

Conker's Bad Furday Live and Reloaded. They changed up the first section of the game and Conker actually mentions that it didn't work the same way in the first game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum when Scarecrow gases you for the third time and the "Reversed opening cutscene" where Joker has Batman tied up in the Batmobile, if you try to skip the cutscene a little icon pops up in the corner that says "Press J to skip." There is no J button obviously.
Totally thought my xbox died the first two times it wigged out at that scene.

Max Payne:
"Max, you're in a graphic novel"
"Max, you're in a video game"

MGS:
"The code is on the back of the CD case"
that changing your controller port against psycho mantis(this is a real ***** on PSP and dont get me started on changing to the second disk)
Eating the pill in MGS3 once you Game Over

Also in any game: GAME OVER

Assassin's Creed II:

"Itsa me, Mario!" I laughed out loud at how such a ridiculous line could be in such a serious game.

And Batman: Arkham Asylum when Scarecrow gases you for the third time and the "Reversed opening cutscene" where Joker has Batman tied up in the Batmobile, if you try to skip the cutscene a little icon pops up in the corner that says "Press J to skip." There is no J button obviously.
Or at the end of that cutscene, where you get a 'Game over. Hint, dodge the bullet by pressing down the middle stick' Naturally, with only 2 sticks, you could see this being a problem.

Also the end of Conker's bad fur day
where you beat the final boss because of a faux game freeze, causing Conker to demand better weapons from the developers so he doesn't tell anyone about the game crashing

Wanted works too, but that's as a graphic novel/film, not a video game

There's an interesting log in Iji at the end of Sector 1 where a Tasen scout is talking about how his captain keeps talking about pressing esc to get to the pause menu and he thinks she's insane.
Also, many of the lines produced by Yukebacera's Scrambler are this.

example:

Dan: See this shirt? It's awesome. You're not. I win.
Iji: Needs more Scrambler.
Dan: I have the best Scrambler quotes. I win.
