Amateurs, as far as I'm concerned none of you have heard honest brutal heavy metal, except for maybe the Death and Vader fans.

Those are pretty good bands, but I don't think you outdid anyone on the heavy aspect. Although I do like decapitated and absolutely love dieing fetus, they're just not as heavy. It's more melodic than everything, and there's is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but this is more of a down-tuned, 808 bass-droppy, brutal themed thread. No need to bash other genres of metal though, that's just uncalled for.

Seriously? That's not music, none of it. It's just noise. THIS is what you call good music!

[small]Note, this is note a dig at people or types of music, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their type of music is no more or less valid than mine. This post was merely meant to act as irony, and I apologise for any offence caused. Thank you.[/small]
The "Noise" is metal. What you put up is indeed not horrible music, but it's so far from metal it's embarrassing for you to have posted it. Seriously man, don't hate and pay more attention to what you're supposed to contribute to the thread.
You should have read the hidden text when you quoted me, where I explain that I am joking. My brother used to listen to metal, and I don't find it all bad. If someone likes metal then that's fine by me, and as for what I put up, that too was meant as a joke (that is, I do love Warpaint, but it being so different to metal was the joke). If this went over your head, then I'm sorry, but try and see the irony next time, instead of calling me out on something that doesn't need calling out about.

Well, no this is technically noise:
Hmmm, you make a fair point. However, I generally equate 'noise' to bands like Crystal Castles. Well, actually, no. Just Crystal Castles. Awesome duo, but still noise (that's their whole genre, actually...).

Surprised no one has brought up these guys yet...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQHEUTWDJWs

And this which is more fast and angry

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ppHDz9P1LM

And this is pretty huge, slow, heavy and doomful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mwB3NyvOPc

Also if anyone has access to properly loud speakers then give this a shot:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oODgI-VLumI

but you need to have it really loud though, no point using headphones. It's not angry but it is unbelievably heavy, play it loud and you can almost feel your internal organs being liquefied buy the infrasound...

Bro, don't take this as hard as I'm going to make it sound, but you listen to fake death metal. There isn't anything melodic about either dying fetus or decapitated, and the deathcore trash you posted is, trust me on this, trying and failing to imitate real death metal like decapitated and dying fetus.

This is melodic death metal:

The shit you posted is formulaic and tragically bad, especially since their one aim is to sound heavy. When done properly, it sounds like this:

instead of this:

But, it's not that I'm an elitist, it's that you have no idea what you're talking about.

XD
And it sounds like you only listened to maybe...idk, one or two of the bands I posted? I do understand the difference you silly nonconformist you, but still, what you posted is good metal, but it was also not as heavy. Heavy is the key word in this thread, if you're too thick headed to believe me go and read the original post. Your taste in metal hasn't been brought to question ,but I can see you're VERY proud of it.
Edit: Also, I said that it's more melodic than previous posts, not that it was to be defined as melodic death metal.

Oh goodness no, I've had countless people like you try to push each and every one of the bands you posted on me. And I know my taste isn't being brought into question, I can't imagine someone who listens to deathcore not enjoying the real thing when they hear it. I think it's funny that you think lamb of god and whitechapel are heavier than dying fetus or decapitated, and that either dying fetus or decapitated are melodic. None of the crap I posted, except where I said "This is melodic death metal" was melodic. Trust me, I expected to see demolisher and all shall perish when I entered this thread, I wasn't going to raise any hell until the poster of said velveeta metal (you) claimed that it had any comparitive 'brutality' weight at all against honest death metal. Further, had you not claimed what I had posted was melodic, I wouldn't have so sorely doubted your knowledge on the topic you tried to rebuke me on to the point of a rebuttal.

Plus, I'm not a non conformist. I wear as much Abercrombie and Fitch as I can get my hands on and I vote republican when in doubt.

I'm sorry, I'm being so rude. Bygones.
Good day sir.

I read the title and thought it'd be a thread where a person says a heavy object and then the next person says something heavier...I was going to say a black hole :(

Oh, I got this!

If you have really good speakers or headphones, I recommend using those and turning the volume most (or all) the way up.

No, that's what I mean. I expected to see fake metal like demolisher and all shall perish, and as well intended to overlook it until you told me dying fetus was melodic, I couldn't resist calling bullshit on you after that.

Also, where's Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden? Black Sabbath (the song) is probably one of the heaviest songs of all time, and who can forget Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name"? Yes none of my 3 are as "heavy" as modern metal, but you have to admit that without them, metal would not be what it is today.

I realize I'm probably gonna get laughed at for being "entry level", but I still think these three are some of the best examples of metal that you could find. Any true Metalhead worth his studded leather jacket has to give a nod to those three.

However, I'm liking a lot of the examples posted so far as well. Rock on!

\M/ -_- \M/

Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden are gods.
