Pretty much this. Sure, I doubt it'll blow my mind but if I get at least 100hrs of pissarsing about fun in my fave sandbox setting, I'll consider it a worthwhile purchase.onewheeled999 said:If it's still fun, who gives a flying fuck?

Having been playing Oblivion again on the PC I can see that the menus were intended for console, yet worked just fine for the PC. I think Skyrim will probably be the same, especially given how much it seems they've been putting into it. It's not like there aren't modding tools for the PC version or anything.
Actually the menus didn't work well on pc. Take splitting a stack of items to sell. You had you click an item, move the courser to the other side of the screen to select an amount to sell adjusting a slider carefully (hard to get exact amounts at times), then slide the courser over to the sell button. If you could have used arrow keys and enter the process would have been nicer seeing how you will need to do it thousands of time. Lots of little things like that bugged me.Harkonnen64 said:Having been playing Oblivion again on the PC I can see that the menus were intended for console, yet worked just fine for the PC. Sucks more for console gamers. They are left with vanilla Skyrim. So if Beth add some witless crap like level scaling to make Skyrim more accessible it cant be fixed.Kenny Doyle said:Sucks to be a PC gamer.
Goddamn quotes like this make my blood boil.bussinrounds said:Yea, It's actually a good thing the Elder Scrolls games are moving away from trying to be an RPG. The structure of the game and the manner in which skills level and such makes for a better action-rpg or action-adventure game. It depends too much on player skill. RPGs should stay turn-based or even pseudo turn-based as it removes the player element and makes it far easier to focus on the character element.
Mabye it could finally be a decent action game (although i doubt it), instead of putting up this facade of it being an actual rpg.
This is not personal preference this is fact. A mouse is more accurate for RTS and FPS purposes. I have been gaming since I was 3 on consoles and about 12-13 on PCs. I have play C&C games and Age of Empire 2 on a PS2. I have played everything from Halo to Timesplitters and yes a mouse without a doubt is more accurate than a controller that is fact.Iron Criterion said:Personal preference not solid fact.Glademaster said:I do get tired of pointing this out but yes a mouse is more accurate for FPS, and RTS purposes.
well I played the same amount on the console version of team fortress 2 as I have on the PC version as I find for FPS's a controller to be much more practical. When it comes to RTS's it is pretty much fact mouse and keyboards are better but when it comes to FPS's it really is about personal preference.Glademaster said:This is not personal preference this is fact. As I said before you can prefer either but a mouse is more accurate than an analog stick there's no debating that. If you prefer set up for keys and analog for movement that is fine but a mouse is more accurate.nuba km said:well I played the same amount on the console version of team fortress 2 as I have on the PC version as I find for FPS's a controller to be much more practical.
