If it's still fun, who gives a flying fuck?
Pretty much this. Sure, I doubt it'll blow my mind but if I get at least 100hrs of pissarsing about fun in my fave sandbox setting, I'll consider it a worthwhile purchase.

People act like this will make the game worse for PCs. It's not like Bethesda hasn't developed for PCs before and you will get a shitty port. This just means UI won't be overly complex and easier to access with a controller and such. It's not like there aren't modding tools for the PC version or anything.
Having been playing Oblivion again on the PC I can see that the menus were intended for console, yet worked just fine for the PC. I think Skyrim will probably be the same, especially given how much it seems they've been putting into it. Makes me wish my graphics card wasn't about 5 years old :(

Actually the menus didn't work well on pc. Take splitting a stack of items to sell. You had you click an item, move the courser to the other side of the screen to select an amount to sell adjusting a slider carefully (hard to get exact amounts at times), then slide the courser over to the sell button. If you could have used arrow keys and enter the process would have been nicer seeing how you will need to do it thousands of time. Lots of little things like that bugged me.

Sucks to be a PC gamer.
Sucks more for console gamers. They are left with vanilla Skyrim. So if Beth add some witless crap like level scaling to make Skyrim more accessible it cant be fixed.

An RPG I can actually play without being scared away by a billion potions, spells, buffs, debuffs, curses, weapons, shields, items, strategies, dices, bullshit etc.?

Ok. Count me in. Maybe I'll finally play the first western RPG which doesn't make me feel like a retard.

Yea, It's actually a good thing the Elder Scrolls games are moving away from trying to be an RPG. The structure of the game and the manner in which skills level and such makes for a better action-rpg or action-adventure game. It depends too much on player skill. RPGs should stay turn-based or even pseudo turn-based as it removes the player element and makes it far easier to focus on the character element.

Mabye it could finally be a decent action game (although i doubt it), instead of putting up this facade of it being an actual rpg.
Goddamn quotes like this make my blood boil.

OT: Who really gives a shit anyway? Not like the cascades of barely meaningful bullshit in the menus mattered much in the overall experience. Other than being a general distraction of course.

I don't understand why PC gamers are getting so mad about this game when it hasn't even been released yet and they have literally NO idea what the final version will be like and if its that bad for PC play it on console like everyone else because they don't want to pay £3000 for a decent gaming computer.

It may be a bit dumbed down but its not that bad. At least they have made the game for PC and not done what Rockstar did and make RDR and LA Noire for console only so consider yourself lucky because times are changing and consoles are more popular now.

Ah, damn. I'm building a desktop gaming rig primarily for this game. I already have the case and a DVD drive.
Oh well, there's nothing in the game that modding can't fix, right?

I do get tired of pointing this out but yes a mouse is more accurate for FPS, and RTS purposes.
Personal preference not solid fact.
This is not personal preference this is fact. A mouse is more accurate for RTS and FPS purposes. I have been gaming since I was 3 on consoles and about 12-13 on PCs. I have play C&C games and Age of Empire 2 on a PS2. I have played everything from Halo to Timesplitters and yes a mouse without a doubt is more accurate than a controller that is fact.

DAMN YOU BETHESDA FOR BEING LAZY, its not like you were bothered enough for this game to wright over 300 fictional books, hand make 150 dungeons, make giant improvements on AI, made a completely new game engine and massively improve combat. So I am sure they will continue not doing those things on top of making a crappy PC port as they have never made a PC game before.
/sarcasm

seriously Why are some PC gamers already calling this as a sign they will get a game that sucks.

well I played the same amount on the console version of team fortress 2 as I have on the PC version as I find for FPS's a controller to be much more practical. When it comes to RTS's it is pretty much fact mouse and keyboards are better but when it comes to FPS's it really is about personal preference.

As I said before you can prefer either but a mouse is more accurate than an analog stick there's no debating that. If you prefer set up for keys and analog for movement that is fine but a mouse is more accurate.

Frankly, the issue isn't so much this particular game, it's that we PC gamers (or people who play consoles but prefer PCs in general). Frankly, the PC is superior to consoles in terms of gameplay experience, but the tradoff is inherently that there is a great deal more work you need to do in order to actually play them, and as such people who play such games are willing to make a trade-off of having more depth for less approachable.

Now, keep in mind, there's nothing wrong with improving approach ability, but the problem is that the current design approach usually results in depth being sacrificed for approachability, and that there are like no games which cater to a desire for increased depth justifiably frustrates PC gamers.

So yea, pc gamers always whine cause nobody is catering to them, period. From expirience statements like this almost always means reduced depth.

Did anyone here play Oblivion? I'm not saying this is good news, but we've known this for years, and it's not the end of the world. The Elder Scrolls V is still going to be awesome guys.

I don't care whatever it's for consoles or anything else, just please make it a complex RPG.
