Hang on a sec I really liked knowing because it tried something different and it had a huge mystery to it before going into the cinima. Granted the list and the events were explained by alien intervention but could it really have been anything else except say something like super jesus comes to save a select few before the planet collapses.

Would you have prefered "A mad little girl in the 50's picks up some loopy secret radio frequency in her head that makes her write down all these numbers that are actually dates describing the worst accidents in time. Mean while the so-called terrorists/rouge government agency/band of telepathic super beavers go about commitiing "accidental" attrocities across the globe, completly unbeknownst to the populous?" It doesn't give alot of scope to be anything but aliens. If it had been a resurrected demon hitler complete with hellspawn SS I might have prefered that.

Nick Cage in "Next" however.......

Biggest fucking piss of ending ever written

(spoiler)

Turns out the entire, explosive, disastarous ending of the film was a "premonition" of how not to go about saving america. So now armed with this knowledge, Nick basically says "hmm I guess I wont do it that way" credits roll. I die a little inside.

Transformers.

the villain gets the macguffin and act of getting the macguffin kills him. The heroes wasted 90 minutes trying to keep it from him.
I highly doubt that
Megatron was going to shove it into his chest. The point was that Sam activated the All Spark and converted it into energy which was directed at Megatron's spark.
Yeh but howcome in number 2 they litrly just resurect megatron like it was no big deal, with a shard of the all spark.. And howcome in number 2 they can actually poon the bad robots where as in number 1 star scream was like a fkin.. errrm... machine but hes getting 1 shotted and shit now ><

number 2 has the SAS tho so it gets more points. :]

BAAAAAD movies tho

I am Legend!! I wonder if they just ran out of budget?? good film, THE WORST ENDING!!
Read the book, it will then make perfect sense.
Which ending is he talking about I wonder? The original or the alternate?

And book eh? interesting, but I still need to finish 1984.
The film originally went with the original ending, but the test audience didn't like it, so they hastily repackaged it to go with the happy ending AND RUINED THE FILM.

But hey, artistic integrity has never been worth that much in Hollywood.

They've always been backwards. I could see a film staying faithful to it's source material coming under heavy scrutiny. But just once I'd like to see that happen.

The film adaptation of the Andromeda Stain is identical to the books, and is way better than that new mini-series they made.

TBF, quite a few books get made as they were, but test audiences and visionaries tend to overlook the idea that the author knew what they were doing.

The obvious one is with Bill Hicks skit that the test audience didn't want to see the lesbian interest in "Basic Instinct".

The Village. You should see the film, if only to just get blown away by the series of terrible plot twists leading up to the sheer power of the Worst Ending Ever.

Alot of movies = they wake up and realize it was all a dream
There's a name for that. Dues Ex Machina, aka a complete fucking cop-out.
lots of books do that as well.
I just don't freaking care about movies now because they're all ripoffs...
excepting maybe the Pixar films.

There are several movies whose endings I didn't like, but one in particular has an ending that is infuriating: Next.
Basically, two thirds of the movie are a fantasy-slash-prediction, the ending of which makes absolutely no sense. Then the whole plot is reset. Roll credits. Argh!

Ugh the new terminator movie....

the good guys destroy the terminator production facility after which a voice-over basically declares that all of the their actions in the movie made little or or no difference to the world's current situation and that everything is pretty much the way it was at the beginning of the movie.

Basically a waste of nearly two hours of your life.
The whole premise of the terminator films is fatalistic. I thought it was good that they added the voiceover, because it helps reinforce the whole point of the movies.

The Descent had a really stupid "real" ending...

After murdering her best friend and leaving others to die in the name of survival, the main heroine climbs a tower of bones with the monsters on her heels, bursts out of the ground, dashes to her car, drives a ways down the road stops and cries.

Unfortunately, this is all a halucination and she's really still in the cave hallucinating her daughter while the monsters close in on her.

What the shit? The "false" ending was so much better, she would have had to live with the horrible things she did to survive... it was so soul shatteringly bleak that the "real" ending felt like a "dun dun dun" slap to the face.

I love how the ending where the main character survives and the monsters are shown to be thinking, caring creatures able to reason and make peace is considered a "controversial" ending...

Hollywood is so friggin lame.

The biggest BullShit ending for me was the ending to "Alone in the Dark", because it didn't come two hours earlier!

Another for a different reason was "the Dark Knight". This was easily the best movie made in the past ten years and ends amazingly and then I remember that Heath Ledger is dead and that there can't be(or at least very unlikly(but I'm still hopful)) another Batman movie this INCREDIBLE.
Yeah its disappointing that Heath died, because if he was still alive I bet they'd bring him back for it.
The rumor is that because of Heath Ledger's death Chris Nolan won't do another Batman.
http://movies.ign.com/articles/995/995197p1.html
Apparently they planned to have him reprise the role in the third film.

Independence Day.
Come on! It would've been way more realistic if the humans failed and the aliens annihilated the human race!

probably been said, but i have to say indy four. i mean, they try for a whole movie to try and kill the soviets and get the skull, then the girl gets the skull and her brain explodes. i feel no need to this, because no one needs to not know the ending. it sucked so much that it doesn't need to be watched. they raped the fuck out a good movie series.

The Village, and Contact. Worst POS's ever.
I thought contact was good, however thought the Village was one long blind joke.

I thought the end of Transformers: Revenge of the fallen spoiled the movie.

Same gets revived by fallen Primes, he's god damned DEAD! No bullshit "oh your a true leader and we'll revive you even though we've been dead for thousands of years" Damned cheesy Hollywood endings
