That new cartoon show on Comedy Central that was made by Daniel Tosh or whatever. I'm a fan of his actual comedy so I thought it might good but he's an awful voice actor and the comedy is too Family Guy mixed with Ugly Americans for my taste. Now that I think about it, it reminds me of Ugly Americans a lot.

Also, I really hope the Hobbit doesn't make my list. I'm so excited to see it and my expectations are waaaaay too high.

This year has been a complete let down for big, blockbuster movies. DKR, Prometheus, The Avengers (IMO at least), Looper (the second half was so painfully meh), The Amazing Spiderman, Brave etc and now The Hobbit has got mediocre reviews as well.

Music has been great though this year, as well as cartoons.

If we're doing disappointments, and not "things we think are bad", I'd go with Brave (which was stunningly average) and Guild Wars 2 (which was good and fun but which I expected more from).

For Television I'll go with Walking Dead. S3 looked like it was going to finally start fulfilling the show's potential, but since the climactic 3rd or 4th episode it's been a big bag of meh, with Andrea radiating so much concentrated suck she's dragging the rest of the show down with her.

If we're going with stuff I thought bordered on being outright bad, we of course have Prometheus, and a video game I'm not allowed to mention that rhymes with Bass Effect 3.

I enjoyed TDKR. More than feeling like a letdown from the previous two, it underscored some issues the entire trilogy had, but really all that had come to happen is we were judging those films by a MUCH higher standard than we do the vast majority of comic book films.

Is Bass Effect a rhythm game, or is it about fish? Or it could be a rhythm game based around fish...

These are the questions that really matter in this day and age.

I've got another one, for completely different reasons:

Persona 4 Golden. The reason it was a let-down was because it ended. D:

The news of the WWZ movie adaptation. I felt as if someone took my heart out of my chest and crushed it.

Easy for me!

Prometheus.

It was almost offensively stupid. At least the makers of the Star Wars prequels had the good sense to make up new technobabble instead of bastardizing pre-defined words and scientific concepts. STUPID STUPID STUPID. HATE.

Prometheus is a great answer, actually. Hopefully our favorite movie critic will tear it to pieces in the coming month.

Of course, I still think the biggest disappointment was Mass Effect 3, with that stupid kid that shows up at the end and that black goo that does anything the writers need it to... wait, WHAAAAAAATTTTTTT?

anybody want a pizza roll?

Didn't you see redlettermedia's (guys behind plinkett) review of it? While they made fun of it's problems, they actually advised against tearing it to pieces.

Or was this the let down?

OT: Mine would be The Walking Dead Season 2, at least that's when it got to my country, got a bit better by the end and look forward to season 3, but man... Did it drag on.

Probably Looper.

Heard great things about it, the first half was great, then it began a steady decline to one of the worst climaxes I've ever seen, and a twist that makes absolutely no sense on any level. (JUST SAYING "OH IT'S A CLOSED TIME LOOP" DOESN'T ALTER THE FACT THAT IT BLATANTLY FUCKING ISN'T!)

It honestly seemed like halfway through production somebody switched out the writer/director and drugged all the actors.

My biggest disappointment by far.

Mass Effect 3... Oh.

Probably the World War Z trailer. That killed any hope I had of it being half-way good.

The film sight seeing, it came out like last week and I left early. The main charaters were not relatable in their hardships so what they do is just stupid. Review in a nutshell - stupid.

Probably shalt get flamed for this, but what the hell is so bad about prometheus? It wasn't supposed to be a DIRECT Alien prequel, more of an exploration of ideas within the same universe, with one iconic set piece thrown in.

I watched it as a stand alone piece and enjoyed the hell out of it, apart from a couple of silly moments anyways.

But... i dunno, my job. My job is the biggest let down.

That and Max Payne 3.

The 2012 NFL season. Nothing but a 'badly' rehearsed play that may have only fooled Broncos fans. It doesn't matter who wins the Super Bowl this season.
