I'll go one more on that and say punishing players who didnt import a save in ME2 by automatically taking renegade options (I think)Star Pancakes Muthaf said:Probalbly Making Ashley the default survivor for non imported characters a la ME2, even seeing her face for just a few minutes got on my nerves

well overall I actualy didnt mind the main quest, But I agree that the whole moral choices in Fallout 3, when it game to the main quest anyway were pretty shallow, there was no reason NOT to side with the brotherhoood other than being evil for the sake of being evilthis isnt my name said:The enclaver didnt screw anything up. It was the devs who make dad kill himself for no reason. The original ending sucked because it was either good or evil, and had no depth. Broken steel just made it shallower, and forces you to work with the BoS (again) further shallowing my anti BoS choices. The games entire main ques was terrible. Fallout new vegas shows how it is supposed to be done correctly.Vault101 said:I disagree, this isnt my name said:It was just corridor shooting. It hinted aliens caused the great war. That would chnage cannon and lessen fallout.
It had no redeeming qualities, and just shouldnt have happened.
I hate broken steel, but the reason that abomination exists is because fans bitched and beth caved. This however, there is no reason for it to exist.
anyway Im going to say the orgininal ending and not because I didnt get to keep playing,
it was because my charachter, her father disapears without realising consequnces causing her to almost be killed and forcing her to leave home (and her best freind the only other person who mattered in this crappy world) so she has to face everying wandering around a depressign broken world , stavation, radiation , fighting monsters and asshole raiders to find her father and being a good person along the way,
everyone else is ether miserable or apathetic, and then when she dose find her father and tries to help him with helping the wasteland the enclave come and screw everything up, but she keeps going even anyone else would have completley lost it and OD'd on chems out of greif oh and at this point shes got no chance of returning home, best freind casts her out after solving the vaults problems (thanks Amata! best freinds forever right?) so finally it comes to the finale battle! take back the purifier!
and so how dose it turn out? you have to die...exactally how your father did, and if you get sarah lyons to do it your evil
the main thing is you can't get fawkes to do it, it has to be you because the universe hates you that much plus I think this was a case of they wanted to do more but they ran out of time so I would say broken steel is very nessicary
You'd still need an alt-fire button, since the Tau Cannon mounted on the buggy on the "Highway 17" and "Sandtraps" chapters has a charged-shot function.MiracleOfSound said:If it were me... I'd have done it like so:Skywolf09 said:I must concur. It's even more of a shame considering how the PC version had excellent driving controls. Granted, they were the same basic layout as the console versions (WASD = Forwards, backwards, and turning. Mouse = Aiming), but they weren't nearly as clumsy as the console controls.
That being said, however, I'm not really sure how Valve could have improved on them. Standard driving-game controls would have mucked up button placement, and Halo-style controls just would not have worked at all. I guess that's what you get when you transfer a control style that works well on PCs to a format where said control style definitely isn't as feasible...
R Trigger - Accelerate
L Trigger - Shoot
R Bumber Reverse
Left Stick - Steer
Right Stick - Look
B - Get in/out
L Bumber maybe? Could work for the Dodge's turbo function too.Skywolf09 said:You'd still need an alt-fire button, since the Tau Cannon mounted on the buggy on the "Highway 17" and "Sandtraps" chapters has a charged-shot function.
Nope! And I like that set -up too. In fact they could have probably just randomly picked any buttons for anything and it would have probably have ended up better than they one they picked.Skywolf09 said:Come to think of it, though, if you used standard driving controls (R Trigger/R2 = Drive, L Trigger/L2= Brake/Reverse, Left Stick = Steering), remapped the firing controls to the Bumbers/R1 & L1 buttons, kept the "get out/get in" button in the same place and moved the turbo and handbrake functions to the face buttons... that could have actually worked!
Damn it, Valve! You really didn't have an excuse for crap driving controls!
Am absolutly amazed you treated my comment with respect and not flaming. THank you so much. Let me retierate. I said that to myself but i relized how everyone loved it. I guess it wasint my game or mabey it was a little to quirky for me. So thank you for not attacking. I get that alot on this forum. Am sorry if i was to harsh. I understand why people love it.FalloutJack said:Now, I realize that every person is entitled to their own opinion, but in contradiction to overwhelming evidence? Since When? Last time i rememberd Raiden went off to live with his loving wife and child taking the exact route snake did. If your refering to rising its not a sequel its a prequel.Absimilliard said:I actually had the feeling throughout most of the game/film.Vega_GTX said:The "Epilogue" Of Metal Gear Solid 4.
Also about the fact that they're retiring Snake and replacing him with Raiden.
I think you are correct sir. Actually the majority of Obsidian's career could be put on this thread.BreakfastMan said:The end of KOTOR 2. I think I just won this thread.
