Bad: In Star Ocean: The End of Time when it turns out you are all video game characters 60 hours into the gorram game.

Also when it turns out that you aren't doing jack shit in space and keep crashing on every gorram backwater medieval planet that there is...also when you find out you don't get to use any of your gorram genetic powers that the entire plot is based around.

Good: Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of the Cerberus when it turns out that everything was just a hallucination of Vincent's and that he was really still trapped in a box and that the reason for such is that it's a punishment for him raping Lucrecia and fathering Ol' Sephy...wait, no yeah I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

Shadow Hearts I & II
Shadow Hearts I is followed up by Shadow Hearts: Covenant using the BAD ending when Alice dies. At the end of Shadow Hearts: Covenant, the... good ending? ... whatever ... Karen gets transported back in time where she meets Ben Hyuga
She's Yuri's Mom!
Meanwhile, Yuri is teleported back in time, and I saw him laying there on the grass, I got goosebumps. It only took the train whistle for me to become motionless in a state of amazement.

I think worst would be:

*Spoilers*
FF9 when you finally defeat Kuja and you find out he wasn't even the final bad guy. ts some silver dude they added at that last minute who has no previous mention in the game what so ever.
Really annoyed me. I like the rest of FF9.

Best I think is in NWN when Mephistophilies defies the Valsharess because you have part of his flesh or soul (or something). Its really Epic!

Honestly, I will give him credit for being creative because, honestly, who's ever played a game where you have to travel through the inside of a giant worm before? But it was pretty cheesy.

Lord, that game really irritated me, I was so looking forward to seeing some awesome new planet after you take off from that one, but noooooooo you just go right fucking back.

That and the only one who EVER used their genetic abilities after the "awakening" was the obnoxious cliche childhood friend/romantic interest girl.

Anyway...topic, huuum.

Xenosaga was a total mind fuck at the end of episode 3, though I never was able to tell if I enjoyed or hated it.

The first Fable game was very much a WTF moment all the way through. For example, I just bludgeoned my way out of Jack's prison with my fists and a stick until I found my stuff, which meant killing innumerable guards, but then Jack shows up and four guards take me prisoner for another year? DAMMIT! I'm an epic hero at this point and these guards are barely a warm up so why do I let myself get captured? Also, the fact that no matter whether you let Twinblade live or kill him there will be random assassination attempts on you for the rest of the game. Railroading much? No choice I made in Fable had any real impact on the story or game world. I was just a saint or total douchebag.

In Bioshock, when it is revealed Atlas is really Fontaine. Completely threw me for a loop, and kind of saddened me because Atlas was up among my favourite support characters.

The big twist near the end of Metal Gear Solid II was just out of nowhere...
Yeah, I bought MGS 4 just to see if Hideo Kojima was going anywhere with it.

***WARNING: POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!***

Metal Gear Solid 2- "Oh by the way, this is all a computer program. You've been playing too long, turn off the console and go play outside."

Metal Gear Solid 3- Remember Ocelot? The guy you constantly humiliated and defeated? Yeah he was on your side.
And let's talk about Metal Gear Solid 4

Remember Ocelot? The guy who sort of thought he was Liquid and tried to kill you a lot? Yeah he's still on your side.

Oh yeah and
Big Boss. Either you played the game and know what I am talking about or you don't and I'm not telling you.

Yuri got killed in Covenant. Wasn't that guy there he in the past? I have never played the first one. Covenant is still a great game.

I literally stared at the screen for about five seconds because I really didn't see that coming. Kalas didn't seem like a bad guy at all.

Haze,
When you switch sides, I was like, WTF? No wayz!!!

On a serious note: MGS2
The S3 Plan. Totally didn't see that coming. At all.

MGS4
When it turns out Johnny has no Nano Machines
And, when it turns out Snake isn't a bio weapon, that was a total mind-fuck, it was like What the hell? You mean he was gonna kill everyone? But now he wont? What? Please...Make...Sense! *passes out*

On a side note, I'm spotting a pattern, MGS has had more mindfucks posted than any other game here...
