Alright, as promised, I came up w/ one (keep in mind, it's not fully done.)

Can't Touch Her (sung to Can't Touch This)

Can't Touch Her
do-do-do-do--doo-do
Can't Touch Her
do-do-do-do--doo-do
Can't Touch Her
do-do-do-do--doo-do
Can't Touch Her
do-do-do-do--doo-do
Can't Touch Her
do-do-do-do--doo-do

My, my, my why they gotta hit so hard?
Makes me wanna hit them hard
Ryan has grafted me
Into a diving suit right on skin
Gotta drill 'em in the face
Drill 'em to the ground
For messing with my girl
And you shoulda known,
Can't touch her

I told you now splicer (can't touch her)
Yeah, livin' under water now (can't touch her)
Look at me man, (can't touch her)
I gotta big ass drill for a hand! (can't touch her)

Bust 'em down! oh-aaaaaaahhhhhhh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh--oooooohhhhhh-aaaaaahhhhhh Stop! Daddy time!
Now everywhere you see me
From Fort Frolic to the Hights
it's go Daddy, go Daddy, go Daddy, damn Big Daddy!
And the rest of 'em know

Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Can't touch her
Holy shit dude... You just won the thread, can I have your babies? This is brilliant. I can already see a Big Daddy doing this...in Hammer pants....ow my GOD, that's just fantastic!

*ahem*

A Bioshock musical...it HAS to be tongue-in-cheek, this can't be done purely serious, it would be hilarious though.
One of my brothers suggested the same thing about the pants once he saw this.

And are you a girl? If so, we're gonna have a few problems w/ the kid producing part. 8|

I like Musicals and if they could make one about Lovecrafts works then they can damn well make a Bioshock ones, I've got a whole host of song ideas lined up

- Oh my Plasmids
- Big Daddy mumba
- Splice. Splice. Splice
- The means of production
- Go back Jack
- Big brother
I tried writing one to "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice, as "Splice Splice Baby", but it wasn't coming out too good. So I wrote "Can't Touch Her" ("Can't Touch This") instead. (see previous post.)

That my friend is sheer awesomeness, I keep seeing M.C hammer in a diving suit doing the rump.

Ohh! Fun! I wanna try! I'm a pretty good singer if you give me a tune!

Oh! How about for the Big Daddies, you can have the Little Sisters sing a tune while they sort of "wander around" Rapture. It could be a sad song (little girl wonders about the death destruction around her) or creepy (a little Mother-Goose song, but with death.)

Why so much hate for musicals in this thread? It's just a different way of telling a story. If you don't like them, that's fine, but do you have to be so vehement in your hatred? With a story like Bioshock, I think it would be interesting, to say the least, to see it reimagined in song, regardless of the final quality. If it turns out great, that's fantastic. If it's horrible, well at least now we know. The idea has my support.

No, that would be terrible. I'm not surprised you got this idea after seeing Les Miserables, as that is also terrible.

Reminds me of why I could barely get into Romeo and Juliet. The only reasonably sane character was Mercutio, and they killed him off.
Seriously.

On a side note, musicals are horrid.
That is all.
I challenge your argument, sir!
The Phantom of the Opera is amazing, among my top 3 theatre experiences, up there with Turandot and Nabucco.

I've never seen it so I can't judge it.

First off, YES, this would play much better than MY bizzare theatre tie-in. (Assassin's Creed the ballet...nnno...)

Secondly, soren7550 you are a genius. Much e-love to you and your adaption skillz.

Thirdly...uhm...I'm a girl, I can sing pretty well but only if no one's looking >.>...

So, on to the picthing of ideas....For irony's sake, the entire Fort Frolic section could be the only one acted normally =P. In Hephaestus, there could be a STOMP-esque section with Splicers fiddling with machines. There could be small interludes like Plasmid commercials between major areas.

Why am I getting the feeling this might pan out sort of like Sweeney Todd? Gruesome and dark yet somehow self-parodic. Well, even if I can't contribute you have my support!

You couldn't get away with making this thing a serious production. But as a funny little parody, it would be awesome.

I can play the French Horn, so if you send me a bit of music that isn't too high, I may be able to help you out. Then again, this is Rapture, so I don't see how you'd need high songs.

I'm a good singer and I animate in flash. I also have both youtube and newgrounds accounts. I'm looking for a project to do considering my collab went fuck upward when the guy I was working with got arrested and put in jail for 6 months.
I can totally relate with you man, (except for the prison part) But I have been looking for a collab project for a while now. Good thing we got people helping with this. We could use another animator, as I'm a little inexperienced.

EDIT: Hold up. Was that you on your Youtube? Should you be swearing at your early age? Anyway, that is besides the point. My point is, I didn't see any animations of yours on your youtube page. All I saw was Youtube Poop (Which I detest by the way, as it's too easy to do and posting it doesn't show creativity in any way, shape or form)

Yes, we would love to have you on board, and speaking of Sweeney Todd, that is the kid of self-parody-yet-still-deep thing I am looking for. This video I just finished shows what kind of theme I am going for.

How about you go even gayer and make it on ice!

I would totally watch it though.
Now would you kindly preform a triple lutz for the children in the audience wearing glowstick necklaces.
