As a woman myself .. what are you talking about?

(warning: tons of name misspellings up ahead!)

In KotoR, I adored Carth. I believe it was also possible to romance the 'cat woman' as a female, she was alright.
In Mass Effect, Liara all the way! Hated the guy, I don't even remember his name now.
In Mass Effect 2, Garrus! The others didn't interest me, all pretty boring.
In Dragon Age, I loved Alistair. Zevern was decent, but I never went for him. Morrigan is just boring.
In Jade Empire, I liked both Sky and and Silk Fox. Both pretty good choices.
DA:O: They all sucked, so this is the only game I didn't enjoy at least one of the romances in .. that I've played.

*EDIT*
Though I SERIOUSLY wish Tali was a choice for femshep too. I love Tali. So much.

I was never bothered by the romance options for woman, but I've been told I'm a "boring" player because I romanced and stayed true to Kaiden in Mass effect, and I liked Alistair in Dragon age. Also I didn't mind the resource mining in Mass Effect. Like I said, I'm a boring player. Anyways, your post was hilarious regardless, even if it doesn't speak to me personally.

Thane, the utterly demoralizing and downbeat frog-man with his acid flashbacks and relentless fatalism. The entirely awesome Garrus, who is nevertheless a scaly and crusted anthropomorphic lizard and thus unlikely to bestir many hearts.
I'm sorry, but this boils down to good-old fashioned racism.

Thank you for posting that link, that is the funniest thing I've seen on youtube in a long while.

Whoa there, it's as racist as being against bestiality, actually, less so. At least animals from Earth are within one, if not multiple of the following from us: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus.

I don't agree with the sentiment of BloatedGuppy, though, if you find an individual attractive for their personality, ehhhhh, whatever. That being said, animals don't have personalities and I don't see the whole relationships with aliens thing akin to bestiality, but, finding an alien organism unattractive for being an alien organism is not racism. Just like how dropping the 'That's racist' card doesn't automatically make a person a pretentious douche.

I did have a play through of ME2 were my MShep went for Tali, kinda had a thing for her since ME1, her personality is that adorable.... and hips don't lie. My most recent playthrough I played the renegade, ultra-professional Biotic who did not waste time or energy on personal relationships. Besides, when you can literally rend reality with your mind to the point where you can create singularities, even the idea of a relationship serves as nothing more than a distraction, as that character sees it.

OT: I'm with a lot of the other folk here, Garrus is a shining example of a winner. Admittedly, there's not much in the way of the human male department. For playing a straight male character in DAO it boiled down to the ***** or the ditz for romance options. If anything, men had less to look for than women. Hilarious post OP either way.

I'm... I'm sorry, but Thane is fucking amazing. I replayed half the game just to save Thane in the last mission.

I think its unfair that people who are attracted to women get more options. They have more to choose from so its easier to find a person that you like and can see your character with. But, we have to settle for the few they give us. Bioware is getting better as they go, though, and I like that they actually acknowledge that female gamers exist.

Plus, there's Garrus. Mmm, Garrus.

.... Fenris can go cry into his pillow, though. What a waste of a sexy voice.

As MaleShep, Jack all the way. My borderline-psychotic renegade Adept and Jack are best friends for all eternity. All they care about is each other, and ripping people to shreds with their minds. <3
I have a psycho renegade Adept too. Of course, he specifically screwed over Jack for mouthing off to him. Remember, he's a psycho- he doesn't like it when people fall in line, and Jack does her own thing.
My backstory was that he was an L2 implant who was improperly upgraded, leading to the adverse psychological effects Kaiden mentioned. Thus, he had anger issues and enjoyed exerting dominance over others.

Actually, I've never romanced Jack...
Never had her die (except in that playthrough) either but never found her interesting enough to pursue a relationship with.
My psycho adept was too busy having fun killing things with Jack and Grunt to even notice.

Though I only romanced Jack because I'm a sucker for short hair and tats.

I'm not going to look through seven pages to see if it's been posted already, but here's my one time through on ME2.

I played Femshep, and had a relation with Garrus. It reminded me of some pretty terrible first dates. It was amazingly awkward, and seemed to just fumble along at a very weird pace.

I take it most of you Escapees aren't getting ME3? Bioware take shit on a damn near weekly basis on this damn forum...
The ME community is weird. We shit on Bioware because they're actually a damn good development group, and we know they can do great. I mean, in the ME2 review, he stopped giving Bioware points for writing.

I love Bioware games. At least 3 of my top ten are held down by Bioware titles. And I have a hard time putting together a top 100 I've played so many fucking games over the years.

I just think their romances are shit.

I don't actually think they hate women though. Peeps take their forums a little too seriously sometimes, methinks.

But still, Msheps get Miranda (Smug, whiny *****) Ashley (Mass Effect equivilant of Fred Phelps) Jack (Just plain ugly). So... yeah.
As a man who actually finds women with shaved heads exceedingly attractive?I'm a big Sinead O'Connor fan?I resent that statement. The minute I recruited Jack I knew where I was going with the romance subplot. On a more serious note, Jack had the most interesting personality out of the Mass Effect choices I think, at least there was more to the "Heartless *****" stereotype than there normally is. Bastilla was all "EHHHH MY DUTY" and Miranda's all like "EHHHHH MY FAMILY AND MY DUTY!" and Jack is all "EHHHH I WAS A PRISONER WHO WAS KEPT APART FROM EVERYONE AS PUNISHMENT AND OH WAIT APPARENTLY THAT WAS BECAUSE I'M STRONGER THAN THEM AND EVERYTHING THEY'RE DOING HERE IS ACTUALLY FOR ME AND OOOOOH PLOOOOT TWIIIIIST!"

1.His face does look very punchable.

2.What if bioware are trying to turn femsheps and femhawks into lesbos by giving them lame guys to choose from?

3.it is very one sided. male shep gets miranda (dat ass) ashley (still hot) tali (sexy nerd) jack (total dom) or Liara (pure hawtness).

Femshep only gets jacob (meh...) thane (srsly?) kaiden (more yawn) or garrus (he's cool as a friend but i don't see how it would work if you tried to do it.) Why can't femshep just date Joker? he's funny, he's useful, he has an actual backstory and flaws that make him more awesome. maybe bioware is just trying to be PC by putting a "play as a girl" option. idk.
Because having sex would shatter Joker's pelvis, along with most of his other bones to be honest.

Cause Femshep would most likely crush him during intercourse.

Alot of femme's like Thane and Garrus, despite them being freaky lizard people. They both have very interesting personalities.

So what're we? Plants?

"dogs have personalities" : 69,600 results
"humans have personalities" : 45,700 results ... including non-humans
"humans have personalities" : 37,300 results ... not including non-humans
"cats have personalities" : 30,400 results ... although most of the first page is asking whether they do or looking for ones that are like dogs because the default cat is almost exactly this [http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html].
"people have personalities" : 25,000 results ... including "Do Japanese people have personalities?" o_O
"trees have personalities" : 7,310 results.
"pigs have personalities" : 5,510 results ... including guinea pigs.
"dolphins have personalities" : 4,030 results
"pigs have personalities" : 3,250 results ... not including guinea pigs.
"chimps have personalities" : 743 results
"gorillas have personalities" : 213 results
"apes have personalities" : 8 results
"whales have personalities" : 8 results

Maybe the number of google search results isn't a good indicator after all.
