So I liked DA1, DA2 worth picking up?
If you like
-Walking into the same cave 50 times
-Fighting waves of enemies that magically appear out of nowhere
-Fighting bosses that have 100000000000 hp

Are they really going back to "tactical" pause-and-play combat? I may have to give it a pass on that alone (sorry y'all... I almost can't go back to the first game because playing it literally put me to sleep).

That's what I get for having a preference towards action and fighting games I suppose... :/

I didn't watch the video (I read a summary), but they didn't seem to address this. DA:O's every encounter was designed, it required strategy. DA2 just put in wave spawning to save time and cut corners and I feel that they will do it again.

It's official, you absolutely cannot please the internet.

OT: Interesting enough, I suppose. But damn if that community director in the Hawke outfit didn't look great.

As long as they keep these promises mentioned in the video, I'll buy it.

Dragon Age 2 was good besides those 3 mentioned points, in my opinion anyway.

All I want is good characters, an engaging story, and good fun combat.

Yeah, if the internet isn't pleased by minor shifts away from terrible design decisions, what are they pleased by?

So it's a single Player version of Warcraft?

After Mass Effect 3 I'm taking every pre-release promise bioware make with a pinch of salt.

And I just don't trust them to make reliably good games anymore. Everything since DA:O has been a disappointment for me.

So watching this video, and seeing such minor features being so highly publicised, just makes me all the more pessimistic for future bioware games.

And did they get the fans drunk or something? They'll cheer for anything.

How's about, maybe, now bare with me here, it'll be a tough one, you ready? Sitting down? Alright, here goes . . . Progress? Moving in the right direction? Baby steps?

People are so easy to point out faults they completely ignore the positive.

Like I said and is so readily exemplified: You cannot please the internet (By which I mean the gaming community of the internet, specifically).

Just watch. No matter how this game comes out. No matter what they do. It will be abhorred.

I for one am willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I'm not betting the farm on it, but I won't doom a game based on THREE non-concrete ideas of a work in progress.

Basically, but I think I would prefer WoW.

At least knowing im in the same world as Arthas would be a step up.

Look at it from the internet's point of view - it really liked Dragon Age: Origins, really hated Dragon Age 2, and sees minor changes on the Dragon Age 2 formula as proceeding from the wrong starting point.

I dunno, the internet seems pretty pleased with the Wasteland 2 news it's been getting. And Grimrock.

This is probably true. But it's probably true because it's probably not going to be a good game.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see come release. BioWare's been in quite the negative spotlight recently (to put it lightly). This game could be the final nail in their proverbial coffin.

That was the most pathetic part of the whole panel. Jesus Christ how low they've sunk.
You never asked for this.

Me too. At least we're getting pandas. What is DA3 getting? Hype that's about it.
