I love how conspiracy theories require hundreds of people to pull of an incredibly complex plan without a hitch, without anyone admitting to anything, but somehow be obvious enough for morons on the internet to discover.

If they wanted to fake his death, they would make it much better. For one fucking thing, they wouldn't have him in Pakistan, because not only would that be risky, it would justify the war more if he was in Afghanistan. They would either bomb the place and pretend the his corpse was completely destroyed, so that's why there aren't any pictures, or fake tons of photos or even videos, stage a fake funeral, etc. They would make it make it so legitimate that it'd be impossible to doubt, because that's what they are trying to prevent.

However, if their focus was on killing a ************ without pissing off Pakistan or riling up other extremists, this kind of shit would happen. He would get a hasty burial at sea and no photos would be released, because it would be reasonable to assume DNA would be enough evidence.

Honestly though, it's good to be cautious about what you hear in the media, but this is pushing it. It undoubtedly will bring a ton of good publicity towards the Obama administrator, which is probably why these people are spewing this drivel (there's also the minority that believe it).

At this point, it's gotten enough international eyebrows raised to warrant a grudging pass from me. But ditto on the visual proof. Honestly, I'm surprised the administration hasn't released visual proof. It would shut the detractors up and probably give him even more press. Any advertising is good advertising.

Why can't people ever just accept news as the truth? Why do people always have to question every little thing? (lol, says the person asking all the questions)

Some people just can't accept the real world, their prejudices minds cannot accept that the President of United States is Black.

Even more they cannot accept that this black liberal president "bagged" a villain like Osama, surely that should have been Bush's prize? But no, this progressive, liberal, basketball hoop shooting president got him instead.

But I think there is a deeper reason here, they want to FORCE him to compromise. He hasn't release the picture due to his principals that even if this monster deserves to die, he doesn't deserve to have his body desecrated. And distributing pictures of his blown open skull everywhere won't help that.

Obama I think is smart, he doesn't want anyone feeling shallow sympathy for Bin Laden just because his brains got splattered, but I think many on the right don't care what all those on the margins think. They can only see black and white, they figure anyone who'd be turned by such images is the enemy anyway.

If he's not dead, and there are plenty of reasons for them to fake his death, then he is in US custody at an concealed location. They wouldn't risk the chance of someone else being able to get him in front of a camera. So, if he's alive, then he in in prison and being tortured for information, and I'm quite ok with that. If Obama released a photograph today of Osama with a missing eye and his brains spattered evenly all over his bedsheets, the first words to roll off the tongue of a conspiracy theorist that is convinced that Osama isn't dead will be: "Photoshop".

A crazy person with a far-fetched theory and an acute confirmation bias is never going to be satisfied with any evidence to the contrary.

Well, the differance is that with The Moon Landing we're talking about a video, and video and photographs are not the proof they once were, due to the simple fact that you can make a recording of anything, and even afterwards recordings can be altered.

The conspiricy theories about The Moon Landing being based around the idea that it was all done on a sound stage, and the videos are real, it just wasn't shot on the moon.

This is a somewhat differance case, because no evidence that Obama presents can be accepted since photos, reports of DNA testing, etc.. can all be faked.

On the other hand, if we had the actual body released to the public it means any neigh sayer could have DNA testing done and prove that it is him. It's one thing for Obama to have "loaded" one group of testers, quite another for him to have ALL of them involved in a conspiricy and be able to keep this conspiricy going long past his own presidency, etc...

My basic attitude is that he's a moron, because by allowing this to happen, he's guaranteed that this will become like "JFK" or the ridiculous "Moon Landing" theories, because he's removed the one piece of evidence that can be used to absolutly disprove falsification. The problem with the Moon Landing is of course the inabillity to provide any real evidence that it wasn't faked, where a body could do that.

Osama Bin Ladin's body should have been put on public display, and remained open to any group that wanted to conduct testing to verify the death... at least for the forseeable future.

Now yes, this does mean we'd wind up slicing up the body over a period of time, and certain people might make spiritual arguements about desecrating the dead, and so on, but frankly the guy was a monster, we have a seperation of church and state, and this guy's passing is a big enough deal to enough people where there should be absolutly no doubts as to his passing.

Sure, people could argue that maybe Obama cloned an Osama corpse or something, but that would be fringe whack jobs. Right now it doesn't take any kind of stupidly unlikely
occurance for Obama to have had this faked. What's more the speed with which his disposed of the body is almost asking for this to be turned into a conspiricy theory.

It's pretty much a no-win scenario for Obama, and one of his own creation. He either faked it to help carry a re-election, or he didn't and he's a moron in the way he handled it. In either case he took a giant dump on the country because the way the situation turned out we're never going to get absolute closure on the subject. He's opened the door for people to have "sightings" of Osama for the next 20 or more years since every bit of evidence presented could be faked, and it has all been produced by a guy with both the resources and motivation to fake it.

Seriously this is not funny. We all know nothing will bring back the some 6000 + lives lost on September 11, and good rest the souls of those whose been slain and hopefully maybe their families find peace. Dunno if someone's already seen the headline, but Al Qaeda themselves have confirmed Osama's death. Somehow I don't think that they're in on the conspiracy, too.

I love how the bloke in the article seemed to suggest that the US government pulled Osama's corpse out of a freezer because they wanted to distract from his efforts to get another birth certificate out of the president, while the president shook his fist angrily at him. It's adorable how he thinks he's important enough to warrant the direct and specific hatred of the most powerful man on Earth.
