aside from the fact that i think the beauty of a book is that you can create all the characters and story in your mind and that a game would completely destroy that in ways a film could only dream of...
open world rpg:
grand theft horse : discworld. and i want every voice part to be given to tony robinson (baldrick from blackadder, also narrates the terry pratchet audiocassetts).
does this thread make anyone else remember "bruce coville's: my teacher is an alien?"
i'll second ender's game, but i think that the assassin books (havent read the fool ones) would end up being pretty crap. "do favours for patience, learn how to write, watch yourself helpless as regal hits you in the face, wash down the horses" sounds like a minigame-fest where the game would probably be poorly done anyway.
although, now thinking about it, if you set it about another character, say a child born with "old blood" and made it an open world sort of game... but that would require so much work i can't see it ever happening, let alone be well executed.
