(This is unedited because I'm not too sure on your mental image of everything and if my character would be a stain on it, lol)
Name: Cui Yifie
Age: 36
Gender: Female
Role on the Juliet: Drone Specialist
Bio: Cui Yifie is a Chinese national. She was an engineer working for the Chinese People's Liberation Army in their prototype cybernetics and mechanized warfare decision. She got all of her education out of schooling through the PLA and was with them from 18 years of age to 31 where she was transferred to be a part of the international space efforts. She also volunteered and was chosen for prosthetic and implant testing as it was a minor obsession of hers to further cybernetics. Cui spent most of her time working with the research and development teams concerning drone, rover and classified tech rumored to have something to do with mechanized infantry.
Cui has been on 2 previous missions, the first her role was to probe various cavern systems found on Saturn's Titan, the second was field testing hardware on Mars.
Cui's physical body is her head with her jaw and teeth removed, torso and waist with the pelvis removed. She has been augmented with prosthetic arms and legs, her body and bone structure has been marginally reinforced and altered to fit function rather than form. Her arms and legs are obviously mechanical, with no effort made to hide it or to make them appear even human.
Cui has a prototype PLA cyber brain that has been modified as to be allowed to follow her into a civil service. She is able to connect to her work station and download basic files into her own implanted hard drive. Cui's lower face has devices and fittings for consuming food and vocalizing, however her entire head is usually covered with a light alloy, no glass head case completely concealing her entire head. It allows her to work constantly in safety gear and also to constantly have access to her computer as she is her computer and her headcase has a HUD which is basically just a screen in her helmet she can read from that also lists various needs, it does not recieve any data concerning the environment or some such.
In short, besides improving work efficiency and safety, her body doesn't improve her reflexes, physical strength or mental capabilities in any way. It's all for utility. She also breathes normally but through some filtering which wouldn't help her with airborne toxins or a vacuum.
Cui Yifie was chosen for the S.S Juliet mission due to it's potential length and complications as her expertise in drones and mechanical skills are sought after, her psych evaluations also label her as a safe bet not to cause drama or get cabin fever.
Personality: Despite spending so long in the military, Cui has little to no interest in actual warfare or politics, preferring to immerse herself in her work. Cui is polite and punctual, she enjoys the company of others but usually forgoes it until her workmates are used to her appearance, which can take a while. While rather curious and empathetic, Cui dislikes being pestered and doesn't like talking to people while deep in thought. She is also prone to getting a little moody.
While the Yifie family cared little for first contact, Cui began to believe that this other species could give incredible opportunities for humanity to improve and gain knowledge. As she grew older she began to believe that it could even be the key to her trans-human ideals, which have severely influenced her life, mind and body.
Religious Belief(if any): Has a strong belief in trans-humanism being the next evolutionary stage of humanity, beyond that is agnostic with hints of Buddhist beliefs.
