Thats hardly fair. Although as I have yet to acquire the necessary time to play Psychonauts, I really couldn't say.

I was exaggerating. Still, I refer to my Tim Schafer paraphrase for anyone who decides not to like Brutal Legend (because I can totally tell how good a game will be before playing it): "You might hate Brutal Legend but only if you don't like metal and hot rods and blood and action and humour and fun."

I was excited until I found out Jack Black was voicing the main character.

The reason why I play games over watching films at the cinemas is to avoid giving money to these overpaid actors.

Uh... yes. Right on. I'd be watching films all the time if it weren't for those pesky actors. It's because of them that I force myself to put up with playing games, instead.

I think they dropped the ball on this, getting Jack Black. He's a fine actor (I thought he was good in Be Kind, Rewind) but he really doesn't epitomise Metal the way some other people do.

True, but he is the most "metal" person who will want to put the effort into this. And you have to admit that the guy has got a sweet voice.

The problem I see is not so much that Jack Black was the most metal guy they could find but the most metal comedian they could find. This is a comedy after all.
