Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

AT the moment it is being rumored that Call Of Duty 7 will be in Vietnam, or any wars within that time period (60's - 80's).

REMEMBER this is not FACT its rumored because Treyarch (unfortunately) is licensing Music from the Vietnam wars time frame.

I think Vietnam would be a VERY interesting setting... I'm skeptical about buying the game if it is made though, just because Treyarch is creating it.

What are your thoughts on it?

They have already confirmed it's set in the "Cold War Era" which could be Bay of Pigs, Korea, Nam, or even the Cuban Missle Crisis.

it would be epic if they did all of them in... dunno about 2ish disks?
make it a nice, long, compelling story, with cod 6 style multiplayer (all the kill streak customization, and SCOPES ALREADY ON THE SNIPERS - the bad spawn / overpowered guns)

i'll buy it though, treyarch's not bad. maybe not as good as IW, but they're ok, I liked WaW.

also, that source is over half a year old and we already knew all this.

i eagerly await Call of Duty: Suicidal aid. It's only online, only classes are knifers, noobtubers and HAHA I HAVE MODELS BEFORE PATCH AND YOU DON'T. Oh and the only maps is karachi and the new gameplay mode is verbal abuse. The last person to not shout violent, racist language wins. Oh and your only weapon is a usp and everyone else is camping.

Call of duty vietnam will only be good if there is a level in which you are stranded in a jungle, 14 mile radius, and it is a day before the allies use chemical dust. And all you have is a knife and your wits.

Well considering what Treyarch did with WWII for a campaign, which I thought was as a bit better than that of MW2, I can see them doing some interesting things with a 'Nam setting.

It would be good to see something like that where at the end there really isn't a winner to the whole thing, if they keep the game focused on how fucked up a lot of the war was.

Plus, from the stories I've heard about vietnam from veterans, most of them aren't very... action packed (mostly ambushing the enemy and being ambushed, little stand up hero fights), i.e. something you'd expect in Call of Duty. So maybe it is a sign of changing the formula theyve used for 7 years?

the cuban missile crisis? I seriously doubt you could make a war game with that alone. correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the missile crisis resolved without an actual incident? I thought it was just the russians placing nukes on cuba, the americans threatening the russians and the russians backing off? only a few ships involved as far as i remember... and... what's the bay of pigs?? I never heard about that one before.

Thats rather cruel you know? (Not as in "The Airport scene might be a little offending" but as in rectal-chainsaw-insertion cruel)

Besides, for the love of god, no old war stuff (dont we have 4 out of 6 cod's for that?), make a decent Cod4 sequel, so we can forget about waht was supposed to be Mw2's storyline.
