I want to not be able to run and gun.

Because that's kind of a staple of RE at this point. I'd rather keep RE as REish as possible >.>

An improved inventory system, a hybrid between RE4's cache system and RE5's on the fly switching system.

Bring back different endings, for example if character A obtains a bad ending in their story it alters character B and their storyline.

Also, horror. Lots more of it.

No cover, and limited ammo. I don't want to run around shooting things I want to have to make every shot count. Even if it's not particularly scary I still want that haunted atmosphere. Also tons of bad writing, I love cheesy lines. Oh and back to RE4's inventory. I don't mind if RE becomes more action oriented, but I do not want it to be a shooter with zombies. Also screw Capcom for trying to make it appeal to CoD's audience. They're alienating their current fanbase with that and CoD kiddies don't play anything besides CoD. It's a lost cause.

I was hoping for gameplay that was a bit closer to the "Hook Man" version of RE4. Kind of had the best of both worlds; Over the shoulder shooting while at the same time still retaining the atmosphere of the RE1 remake.

One thing that is really starting to get to me..
The lack of gore...

Has anyone noticed how with the advance in graphics has also come this look of sterility when it comes to the details of monsters in Resident Evil?
Before you couldn't look at model without seeing blood and ripped flesh all over it. And now that the graphics have improved to where they could really do these grotesque details justice, they?re cleaning them up? I am pretty sure the zombies I saw in that trailer had green skin(?) with a few minor lacerations.

What happened to the over kill mutilated walking dead we had chasing after us back in the days of the first three games. Remember in resident evil 1 how there were zombies who had the entire front of their upper body ripped open?
One look at them and you would go ?wow they really went to town on them before he/she got back up."

(heck half the zombies in RE3 didn?t even have their faces anymore)

Or for another example look at how..clean the new William Birkin model in is compared to the blood drenched model from RE2.
So if there is one thing I would really love to see again is less ?goo effects?(you know monsters that look like they were swimming in a vat of snot.) And more monsters who look like they have been ripped limb from limb, or are currently being ripped apart by whatever squirmy worm is growing inside them.
Just because the graphics are more sophisticated it doesn?t mean the designs have to be.

Other than that my list is pretty much full of your standard RE fan demands.

Didn?t want to see zombies.(Okay so maybe I am the black sheep here)

Want more of the survival horror elements brought back.
With characters who were much less capable plopped in these situations (like the old games yadayada)

Less Michael Bay action.

Claire running around in a Bikini swinging a sword.

You know that stuff.

Oh and one last thing..I better see Crimson Heads in this game.

Well the main difference I want from RE5 is for it to actually be fun to play solo.... ya'know, when the game actually gets scary.

I would like a return to prerendered 2d backgrounds and fixed camera angles. And Barry Burton...

Forced perspective camera angles that look super cinematic and add to the horror factor... Shambling zombies rather than clever one's... G-Virus based enemies...

You know what, fuck it, I'm just going to go play 1-3 again.

Edit: On a serious note: NO AI PARTNERS (god I hated that shit), a return to 4's inventory, and a playable Jill Valentine in the main story... No one straight likes Chris, I'm serious, not that there's anything wrong with that, just that I'd rather play as Jill while Chris stays locked in a cell for most of the game.

Changes? Take out everything in RE6 that is turning it into Gears of War, and make it like RE4, except with a different story, different locale, Zombies, AND NO FORCED CO-OP!

SPOILERS!

Well, they already killed off Wesker so my biggest wish, I.E "Wiped his stupid face off the franchise" has been fulfilled. Although if they actually bring him back for more wankery, I'm actually going to punch the game. I will punch the actual, real game. Not the disc, the game.

Different endings, less interactive cutscenes (which were kind of cool sometimes), and more puzzles/ problem solving like in the originals.

Well i wouldnt mind co-op not A.I but optional co-op say if you had a friend round but if you wanted to play alone then you could just turn off the extra person. The main thing i want though is a WII RELEASE I was so annoyed resident evil 5 wasnt released on the wii im sorry i cant afford a x-box or ps3 but i would of still liked to own it though after playing it at my friends with tthe A.I i wasnt so sure

Basically, just remake RE4 but bigger and better. And with ZOMBIES.

Less of the RE5 bullshit (shitty AI, shitty item system, no horror at all, roided-up main character, need I go on?).

If you insist on having AI, at least make them smart enough to avoid being the sole cause of failure on any difficulty besides easy...

More horror. More intense moments. More "holy shit I'm nearly out of ammo ffffffffuuuuu-"

Don't know about the writing, but I've heard that RE Revelations makes a semi return to that classic RE formula. It's also a 3DS exclusive...

While I also prefer RE4's attache case to RE5's real-time slots, you've got to admit it's actually rather silly if you think about it. Running around with a XL case (On your back? In your hand?) stuffed with an assortiment of guns and ammo, grenades, herbs, eggs and fishes. Nothing budges/ jumbles, even though you kick/ supplex people all the time.

Ahh, so you've read THAT Capcom UK RE6 statement as well. Yeah, it's a crying shame. As to RE becoming a shooter with zombies: Operation Raccoon City.

Looking at it another way, a generic backpack will provide a ton of room, the "attache" thing was just an interface for convenience.

RE5, though, has an RPG taking up the same space as an herb spray. Herb sprays could easily be held in the belt (with a utility-belt-type attachment). Spaces not filled with herb sprays could be filled with ammo, grenades, or a billion other things. Combine this with a holster or two and some over-the-shoulder things, and you're already carrying easily double what you would be allowed to in RE5.
