You most definitely should. I've seen it several times now and I'm still finding new details that are making my jaw drop. You definitely have to see it at least twice if you want to get the full "prestige" of the incredible magic trick that is The Prestige.

I wonder how many of you realize how completely pointless this is...all of you attempting to analyze a situation you have no concept of. I'll bet none of you have been on a professional set, you don't understand the mechanics, politics and working structure of a professional set, and can only try to compare an incomplete audio stream to "that one time your boss yelled at you for burning the hamburger at Burger King." Even if I am wrong and you are Martin Scorsese, you certainly can't ascertain exactly what was going on, and you certainly can never know the full context. I am neither defending nor attacking Bale on this one, I just think you guys have better things to be doing than forming half-assed self-righteous opinions about things you don't know about and can never affect.

The story, if anyone is interested, is that the Director of Cinematogrophy screwed up a shot, in Bale's opinion. He then proceeded to scream at Shane Hurlbut (aformentioned director) for several minutes, in front of the whole crew.

But clearly the mechanics, politics and working structure of a 'professional' set allow one person to erupt into violent outbursts at those around him.

I'm not sure what I find more aggravating - that people think he did this because he's an actor, or that he should be allowed to do so because of his occupation.

Edit; You also seem to have assumed that most of the people who have posted so far work at fast food restaurants. I have no idea why.

Maybe you should read his post... He appears to be sitting on the fence. Here you are vilifying him for losing his temper, and you jump at a chance to shoot down someone's point without even reading it properly.

Bale's been one of my favorite actors ever since equilibrium. This a over the top outburst, but hey, he's human. (Though I'm surprised that kind of thing is tolerated at all, even if it is the the film industry.

You're like the guy that walks up behind people playing Rock Band and tells them to stop having fun because they're not a really playing instruments.

That being said, it seems some technician accidentally knocked over some lights and ruined a scene Bale was in. Seems like this wasn't the first time either. Was it an accident or was the tech messing around or something? Who knows. Since Bale is someone who gets extremely into his roles, its likely that ruining even a single scene is a major transgression if he thinks he "nailed the scene". Was he overreacting? Not in his mind. To the rest of us? Fucking nuts.

Not that I care of course. HE'S THE GOD DAMN BATMAN!

I heard via the intarwebies that the guy he freaked on repeatedly stepped into the take and this was the sixth or seventh time he did it when Bale flipped his topper.
