Lyle was led out of the building by the threatening man. His hand slid under his cloak to grab his sword carefully. Luckily he did not need it for the man produced a sheet of paper. Thats quite the list there... How he expects us to get all of that is beyond me. But I best be humoring him for now. Lyle thought to himself, his expression unchanging as he read the list a few more times.

"I'll gather what I can from that list of yours and return here later, with everyone else's supplies as well." With that spoken the figure immediately left. Lyle rolled over the list in his mind again. "He'll have to deal with what we can get I suppose." He muttered under his breath as he left towards the tall walls and gated entrance that marked Tanan's estate.

...A few hours later, back in the bar...

Lyle entered the tavern hall, glad to see everyone still there. "Alright then, it took some effort and I couldn't get quite everything that was requested but here we go. I managed to secure a few torches for each of you, no lamps were able to be spared. Fitzgerald, your horse is tethered to the post outside. Gleaming white with a finely crafter suit of silver armour. Hopefully it suits your... style. Maverick." As he says the name he holds up a small sack containing various bits and pieces of wood and common metals, enough to build a weapon or two if used right. This is what I was able to gather for you. Some of it however is impossible to gather so I got the next best thing which is a small collection of Catalysts. Hopefully this will suffice."

As Lyle went around handing out the extra gear to everyone he felt a small twinge of guilt within him. This isn't even their problem really, yet we thrust them headlong into it. Telling them to fix our problems while expecting them to die. What am I talking about, they do this because a lord commanded them to. They have no choice in the matter anyways.

"Now go, follow the path east until you reach the hills. There enter the caverns mouth and descend, all while following the sounds of moving water. We have no map to give as the tunnels rarely stay the same down there." He turns away from the group and begins to walk away.

"Oh, and good luck out there."

Fitzgerald steps out side. His hair flaches from the sun as he looks to his noble steed. A large, strong, well groomed snow white charger. It was plated with silver barding and gave a dignified neigh. Fitzgerald mounted his steed. "I shall name thee Avalon, After the hero of long ago." Avalon neighed. Fitzgerald turned, the sun shining off Avalon's Armor, to his group. "Let us be off!"

Kinglet cracked a bright smile at Nailos. "Secret! But why. Mister G calls me Kay, so you can go ahead and do that too." She hinted at a slight bow across the bar. "I'm a street performer and if you go and don't believe me, I can prove it and dance on your head for a little while."

The girl quickly thrust her hands into one of the baggy pockets on her pants and pulled out three small, wooden balls. She tossed each in the air after the other and started juggling, all the while smiling the bright smile. It was no farce. She loved what she did. All of it. And street performance was what she still did best.

"Or I can just do this."

--- When Lyle re-entered and began his introduction to their quest, Kinglet caught each of the balls gracefully and pocketed them again in one smooth move. Her eyes snapped to Garrant, then back to Nailos.

Nailos amused and impress gave a big grin and a incourging clap. "Well done well done." See that the others have left he decided it was best to rally the rest of them. "Seems some of our fellow compainos have become restless and decided to leave, well best to follow them lest they get themselfs killed."

Kinglet nodded to Nailos, but refused to leave before attacking her food once more. A few scraps had dared to remain on the plate and were quickly stuffed into her mouth.

"Let's then," she said, pushed the plate aside, and skipped off the bar-stool to head into Garrant's general direction.

Get themselves killed? Like she cared about the others. She only had one back to watch.

Trace stood up, checked to make all of his belongings were still there after talking to Garret, as he stood up and walked past he mentioned, "That sounds like words who have never seen my Templars." and patted him on the back, before walking outside. The Templars know I am going... So no need to tell them goodbye again he thought as he stood outside, rubbing his chin.

Garrant smiled as he saw the Templar pat himself down, he was almost offended, but then again he had rummaged through his pockets for notes as they talked and so he could hardly claim the high ground.

He stood and joined Kinglet, smiling at her when they met but concealing it so that the others could not see, they knew about their affiliation but he wouldn't give away too much without a fight.

On their way to the door, they walked past the blonds table and as they did so Garrant set down his pistol, not even looking to see blondies reaction.

When they were out of earshot, he leaned in to Kinglet slightly and whispered

"Well first analysis confirms my suspicions.... They're adventure seeking-idiots. Further investigation is being pursued"

Isaac calmly put his pistol back into its holster and runs to catch up with Garrant. "Thank you for returning this, it means a lot to me that you did. You're very good at what you do, sorry if I offended you earlier, the names Isaac" he says with a smile. Thinking I have no real reason to mistrust him since he gave it back to me. I hope he will come to trust the others, as well as myself even though he has no need to. But if this is as dangerous as I think... We will have to work as a team

Eovik deep in thought about the designof his new weapon and exosuit barely registered the going ons of the tavern he was in. It was an odd thing for him to do but he had been struck by a moment of inspiration on his plans for his newest creations I will have to get started on them as soon as we finish with this current water problem of their's. "well lets be off then."

Sorry for putting those who can't be on in auto-pilot for right now. If you have a problem with it we can work fix it so this works for both of us

The group slowly filters out of the inn, heading out of town. Everyone had tended to split into their own groups, an obvious lack of trust for one another. One figure led the pack a great deal further then everyone else however.

After a few hours of travel the group had finally entered the hilly area of this region. The change in terrain was quite profound. From the calm, grassy land of the plains before to the rolling hills, complete with rocky outcroppings. The dual bladed man still stood far above the rest.

Taven passed over another hill leaving the sight of the others. His path was flanked by large rocks, a lone figure emerged from behind them.
"Well, what is this? A foolish mistake to travel this far ahead of your group." The mans voice was sinister, his face rugged with a large shaggy beard. He wore leather studded with bits of steel and in his hands wielding A longsword and a crossbow modified to hold multiple bolts at once.
"Ok, boys you know the drill. Kill him now split the loot later!"

A handful of others jumped out from behind the rocks wielding daggers and short swords, five by a quick count. Another four hid, using the rocks as cover and readied their crossbows.

The ground moved as a single unit as the approached Taven, they had been at this for a while and had become quite good at what they did. Not only that, they knew the terrain and had superior cover.

Taven spun as he drew his bastard sword, facing the lead man.

"your a coward! and a fool! if you were not..."
he runs foreword onto a large rock and jumps, turning in midair and attempting to sail over, or bull through, any defenders getting in the way of his diagonal strike at the bandit leader.
"you would have let me by and challenged the rest!"

"To Arms!!" Shouted Fitzgerald, he dismounted his horse as it ran off, and strapped on both of his tower shields. He put them both in front of him making a solid wall, He covered the group from the bandits in the outcropping, crossbow bolts pinged off the sheild harmlessly and Fitzgerald paced slowly towards them.

The bandit leader deflected the blow with a clever parry, all the while bringing his crossbow up in line with Taven. "Impressive, but not good enough!" He shouts as he pulls the trigger sending a bolt whistling at his adversaries chest.

A few of the archers turned to the golden beacon and began firing. The bolts being all but useless. "What in the hell is that?" Yells one of them, "It has a weakness somewhere, keep firing dammit!" Two of the dagger wielding bandits broke off and leapt into the rocks, heading to flank the wall.

The remaining three formed a small wall behind Taven, blocking his exit while remaining purely on the defensive. They would not ruin their leaders hunt, he oh so enjoyed these after all.

"And now the fun begins" Isaac says as he draws his pistol. He dashes in a zig zag pattern towards Fitzgerald looking to get behind him for cover while trying to avoid the hail of crossbow fire. Just before sliding into place behind him he takes a few well aimed shots at the heads of the enemies coming to flank Fitzgerald

the bolt strikes him, but taven's circular movement ensures it does not strike directly, and is blocked by his chestplate.
Taven grunts with exertion, and tries to bring his sword down on the crossbow as it is brought up to fire.

The bullets scream through the air as they rush towards the thieves running on the ledge to the side. The bandits dove for cover behind the rocks but one of them was not so lucky, the bullet tore into the flesh in his shoulder causing a short scream in pain.

"These bastards have artificers! A little bit of help here wouldn't hurt!" He shouted to the rest of the crew, standing as adrenaline entered his veins effectively numbing the pain. His partner glanced at him and they both nodded.

The two rush from the cover, dodging weapons as they do so. Nearing Fitzgerald they begin moving as one, leaping from one rock to another propelling themselves even higher up, eventually flying clear over Fitzgerald and looking down at the exposed Isaac, they let loose a stream of throwing daggers hoping to score a hit on either the golden behemoth or the pistoleer he was protecting. They hit the ground and dove into a roll, hands emptied of knives they ran for the next cluster of rocks to use as cover. They knew this land well and had use tactics as such in the past.

The injured one spoke up yet again "Anytime now!" As if in reply the 'ker-chunk' of crossbows firing was heard and bolts began to rain down over the battlefield.

The bandit leader stood in temporary shock as Taven had rolled with the bolt absorbing most of its impact on his armour. This temporary distraction led to him not notice the blade coming for his cross bow and his hand. Quick reflexes allowed his hand to be saved but he watched the crossbow was sundered with easy from the mighty sword swing.
"Boy... You just made a huge mistake" He growled with new levels of rage creeping into his voice. Taking his sword in two hands he rushed forward, pressing the attack. Cutting high then spinning low at the last moment into a cross slash designed to take out the foes legs, all the while using mobility to avoid being hit by the large weapon that faced him.

He had heard the shouts for aid a few seconds ago and decided he should send some help, he spoke to those bandits who formed the wall. "Two of you help the others, you, you're with me. This one is more experienced then expected."

So unhappy when my first draft of this post was eaten by the escapist... Though mostly my fault.

Isaac quickly yells to Fitzgerald "Behind us! Look out!" As he draws his sword to try and deflect a few of the knives away from himself and his new ally. "Now Master Eovik get them while their guard is down!" Isaac tries to aim precisely for his targets arms, hoping to disable them. He waits until just before they attack, when their most vulnerable to being attacked It's a gamble doing this, but its probably the only way I wont get more daggers in me

Fitzgerald turns, his sheild blocking all the knives but one that bounces off his armor taking away its polish," You're going to die for that" Fitzgerald runs towards one of the bandits trying to shield bash him.
