While I know that replying to this is simply painting a target on my forehead no matter what my opinion is, I've decided not to care about the potential flames, hate, insults or whatever might be thrown my way.
I will also say this: Threads like this are personal, and while it's easy for someone to simply not reply or avoid it entirely, you're discussing your cock. Its awkward, and not a lot of people may want to know, so a warning may or may not be appreciated. Seriously, some people may not have any love for the dick. This, is my warning.
As a circumcised Christian, a lot of the background from the Jewish lifestyle and cultural history. Long story short, its a physical sign of a promise made between man and God, as a way to set themselves apart. Its primarily a Jewish and Christian thing, and while I don't know the details, and I won't bother even guessing seeing as I prefer to state facts.
As a previous poster mentioned:

Circumcision for baby boys heals quickly, and the child is too young to remember it. Adult circumcision requires stitches around the end of your penis, and you're going to remember every single second during which your cock was rendered out of service because it has just been sewn up after an operation.
It is much safer to circumcise a child at a certain time just after birth, due to biological processes by which I don't understand and I encourage to look up, mainly due to how they will heal and the lack of any real memory of such later in life.
For those of you who are complaining as to it being out of the child's hands, well, a lot of things are. Your given name for example. You had no choice in the matter, and while you can have your name legally changed, it takes a long legal process in which your new name needs to be approved, as well as registered, among other things. An alias simply does not count, as it is not your legal name.
Ultimately, it is a decision that is for the parents, or if the person in question is already an adult, for them. It is a personal choice, if not a cultural one. So, remember next time circumcision rears its shiny purple head, that its not purely for aesthetics, but possibly religious purposes as well, seeing as that was its origin.
