I remember this! I loved the old ads they used to do. So amazing.Snotnarok said:Cartoon died a long, long time ago. It had lots of charm and wit and now it's filled with shit, and with a glimmer of gold (Tom and Jerry).
Want to know when cartoon network was good? Here's a hint:

What happened to cartoons 24/7 you lying bastards, you couldn't just make another channel with your crappy new ideas? Screw that, I'm going to watch an ep of Swat Kats just for the awesome that was it's opening theme song.
That's not a bad thing. Adult Swim has some good stuff, but...DrDeath3191 said:I basically turn to that channel solely for Adult Swim now.
How about the "What a Cartoon" show where all their popular shows came from? That was simply great getting to see all different artists doing all different kinds of things, and then sometimes it developing a bit more.AboveUp said:I remember this! Well really Raxer92 this thing is talking about the condition of CN that was how it was started and it seems only negitive stuff is being sad. All true, so why do you have a problem with that. Go somewhere else plz.raxer92 said:Quit bitching, american 2-d cartoons are dead now, hopefully pixar can pick up the pace so that we dont look like assholes to the rest of the world
What A Cartoon was excellent. A friend of mine showed me an old cartoon from that line to show me where Family Guy originated from. I completely forgot about it, but apparently What A Cartoon had a Seth McFarlane toon that already featured the idea of a dumb guy owning a smart dog, using the same voices as the Family Guy version:Snotnarok said:How about the "What a Cartoon" show where all their popular shows came from? Brilliant? To say the least, there was a lot of wit and charm to those shows..and just hidden dirty jokes but they were all fun to watch.AboveUp said:What A Cartoon was excellent. Pretty much all the good What A Cartoon stuff came from the first run. Heck, if I remember correctly the first 3 What A Cartoon episodes were Dexter's Lab, Cow n Chicken and Johnny Bravo. All of them became long running shows. All of them a brilliant as the next.
same.DrDeath3191 said:I basically turn to that channel solely for Adult Swim now.
Wait, they have 2 stupid dogs!Hidan03 said:Not so. Boomerang actualy has a late night shift with Johnny B, Two Stupid Dogs, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Lab, Cow and Chicken, Samurai Jack, and Justice League.Melon Hunter said:At least Boomerang still shows the good old cartoons. Although they are properly old, like Tom and Jerry. Still, it's good for nostalgia trips =)
Oh and they now and then show SWAT KATS!!!!
Where would Megas XLR fit in on that schedule?TGBA said:If I were president of Cartoon Network:
11pm-5am-Adult Swim
5am-8am-Classic Cartoons (looney toons etc)
8am-5pm-Superhero Shows (Teen Titans, Justice League, etc)
5pm-11pm-Anime
Pretty much this. Anything worth watching on Cartoon Network like Metalacolypse is on Adult Swim. I do wish they focused a bit more on anime, though; I know I can find it online easily and I do like their original programming, but Adult Swim did a great job of introducing people to series like FLCL and Death Note. Hell, they had the guts to show Evangelion at all on American TV.DrDeath3191 said:I basically turn to that channel solely for Adult Swim now.
i just watched an old episode of ed ed and eddie, and the powerpuff girls, and still found them awesomeraxer92 said:snip snip
Oh man, I completely forgot about that cartoon. It's every bit as borderline schizophrenic as Family Guy, too. Erm, I don't mean that in a a bad way, just as a statement.AboveUp said:What A Cartoon was excellent.
