While I do love all of the shows you guys mentioned, I think nostalgia does have something to do with us thinking the new stuff is terrible. I remember when I was younger, I was watching Ed,Edd,and Eddy, and my dad had a friend over. There conversation was like: "What is this? It's just a bunch of idiots running around! What happened to the good cartoons like the Flinstones?" and so on. Basically, this thread about 10 years ago.
Samurai Jack won 4 emmys. Powerpuff girls have been nominated for several. Show me any new CN animation out there that has that honor.

I havent looked to nicktoons network and found somthing on that wasnt avatar in weeks. Now avatars pretty good. But i dont care anymore, i dont even want to see the movie coming out. And im 90% sure that this movie will do nothing but tread over the same ground as the show, but thats another thread
I think the Nicktoons "Avatar" and James Cameron's "Avatar" are two different plots...

I basically turn to that channel solely for Adult Swim now.
And even that's broken these days. :/

But yeah, I remember back in the day when I needed to kill a quick 30 minutes and it didn't seem worthwhile to get into a game for that short of time, I could always flip-on CN and it would keep me entertained for that time. Heck, I even remember losing hours at a time when I had intended to be playing a game or something because I would get sucked into a string of good shows. "Maybe the next one will suck" I'd keep telling myself.

Sadly those days are long gone. Lately I've been having to watch Nikolodeon in order to kill short durations of time, but even Nik's a one-trick pony with Spongebob being the only good show they have.

There actually is a [a href="http://www.thelastairbendermovie.com/"]movie[/a] (aimhellfire might have been referring to this one, or the movie based on James Cameron's book) coming out about Avatar: The Last Airbender.
"An M. Night Shyamalan Film" ?!
I might look into this one...

How do you get boomerang? Is it on a channel, or do you have to get it on demand, or what?

I thought G4TV was about video games and interactive media. Now it's all about Ninja motherfucking Warrior and other blithe drivel.

it's channel 168 on cable

The original animated Clone Wars miniseries by Genndy Tartakovsky was because of Cartoon Network.

The new CG Clone Wars miniseries is because of CN.

'Nuff said.

yep it died many moon ago when they got rid of good shows like jhonny bravo and dexter's lab (even my mom laments the loss of dexter's lab) Adult Swim has even gone into this spiral of fucktardation with stupid shows like tim and eric awesome show or what ever thats called and squidbillies where it isn't even funny it's just people getting shot and punched in the dick or what ever, i refuse to watch that crap.

i remember waaaay back years and years ago when adult swim showed anime, the good anime the old ones like, Cowboy BeBop, Lupine III, Detective Conan, hell even Inuyasha was better then the crap they have now

fuck i'd even watch scooby doo over anything on there now

What are his other works? I'm unfamiliar with this director.
Signs.

The Happening.

The Sixth Sense.

Unbreakable.

The Village.

Silly movies with silly twists at the end.

Cartoon Network died long ago, right about the same time as Toonami went. Anymore, it's just starting to stink and attract flies.

For me, Adult Swim is the one thing that justifies the channel's existence, beyond that, I stopped giving a crap aside from when they sporadically schedule Ed Edd 'n' Eddy.

I didn't really care about the live action stuff Cartoon Network had, because they always had Toonami. Then they canceled Toonami. Now I hate Cartoon Network.
