Stated that I'd played the series for hundreds of hours, not blops solely.erttheking said:...Then why did you play it for hundreds of hours? Also I was more commenting on the whole, people getting worked up over other people's opinions than anything else. You think black ops is crap, well that's your opinion, to be honest I find it kind of dull myself, but there's just something about people bashing people who like COD that sends me into a blood frenzy.
Found it quite memorable, it was that bad.Findlebob said:I cant even remember how it ended. It left that little impression on me.
Tell me about it. This gen doesn't really compare much. I was born in the tail end of the 8 bit era. Grew up in the 16 bit. Good god, those were fun games.Aerosteam 1908 said:By far the largest pile of bull-cross-horse shit news I've ever heard. I think the majorty of gamers Guinness asked were born into this generation. I, for one, am not getting really worked up. You're getting much more worked up than I am.erttheking said:Buddy, maybe nintendo classics are more popular in the modern world than other classics, ever stop to think of that? And yes, OH NOEZ. We're forgetting a ton of classics! That IS something to be upset about.
Oh yeah and then there's the classic people are getting worked up over a list that reflects other peoples opinions that makes me slap my head at the intolerance of this website. Class act.
Yes you're not getting worked up at all, that's why you've replied several times across the internet, trying to prove a guy wrong, you're far more worked up than me. Personally allow me to comment on something, if you're getting worked up over someone else's opinion, you seriously need to get out more, if you're not that worked up, then why did you respond to me when I was only mocking people that were getting working up?lacktheknack said:I, for one, am not getting really worked up. Oh, the implications.
And yes, Nintendo classics are very popular classics, but they aren't classic for their stories. They're classic for their gameplay, and often they are better games, but this is about endings, which is a story component.
And yet they tell me that people liked the ending of Super Mario Bros,
<youtube=4U6rAKKdxDA>
...better than the ending of Riven...
<youtube=YulhuEwJ4jE>
...where you save an entire civilization from an insane tyrant, rescue the good guy's wife, and finally find a way back to Earth. Whereas in the "better" ending, according to popular opinion, you find a princess and nothing happens.
I can't imagine why people are getting worked up.
Actually, as endings go, that isn't bad, the whole America F*ck yeah! vibe is clearly satirical of the cold war propaganda at the time, and finding out you probably killed Kennedy and were a Communist tool all this time is a good (if unbelievable) twist. Then Kennedy, Castro and... Reagan? team up to fight zombies. What more could you ask for?TopazFusion said:For those who can't remember . . .
Yeah, the ending seemed very cheesy to me. Certainly not the best ending of all time, that's for sure. (I paid no attention to the zombies bit at the end.)
Again... I'm not upset. I'm not even trying to prove you wrong. The last post was trying to explain to you why people are getting upset, as you didn't seem to grasp it.erttheking said:Yes you're not getting worked up at all, that's why you've replied several times across the internet, trying to prove a guy wrong, you're far more worked up than me. It's someone else's opinion, why do you care? Also it is worth mentioning that the list covered things from a good twist to simply a fun boss, ok does that explain things? Can you calm down now?
Halo Reach's ending is a great example of storytelling and gameplay, it doesn't matter if you already know how it's going to end. A good story, and therefore a good ending, should be able to enjoyed multiple times.RJ 17 said:Because Reach spoiled it's ending with every game before it...and at the very beginning of the game itself.Terminate421 said:How the hell did Halo: Reach NOT win?!?
That's how you do an ending! I dont hate call of duty but I do have to call bullshit on this one.
In case you missed it, here's the ending to Reach:
The Human's lose and you die.
Biiiiiiiiig surprise there! Never saw it coming! M. Night Shabamalamadingdong should take notes from 343!![]()
