Yeah, the ending seemed very cheesy to me. Certainly not the best ending of all time, that's for sure. (I paid no attention to the zombies bit at the end.)

Actually, as endings go, that isn't bad, the whole America F*ck yeah! vibe is clearly satirical of the cold war propaganda at the time, and finding out you probably killed Kennedy and were a Communist tool all this time is a good (if unbelievable) twist. Then Kennedy, Castro and... Reagan? team up to fight zombies. What more could you ask for?

We seem to forget that generally game endings are pretty rubbish even for games with great plots. At the end of KOTOR (good ending) you are given a medal. In Medal Of Honor Allied Assault (probably the best WW2 FPS) You get onto a train and a guy basically says "We're done here" and it fades to black.

It is a shame that all the gamers asked were only on one console and obviously most were from the newest generation of gamers, but fair enough, it could have been worse.

Because Reach spoiled it's ending with every game before it...and at the very beginning of the game itself.

Halo Reach's ending is a great example of storytelling and gameplay, it doesn't matter if you already know how it's going to end. A good story, and therefore a good ending, should be able to enjoyed multiple times.

It's all a popularity contest, but I'd like to say that Black Ops actually does have a pretty good ending.

Then watching Fight Club will blow your mind.

Because as a fan of Cold War spy books and Soviets brainwashing American agents it was actually piss poor.

I don't know what made me finish the game because the last mission was completely unjustified and completely forced.


I'd gladly take a Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) ending over Black Ops's.
