I never understud that hardcore = more skilledit just promotes spraying because 2 bullets from and mp5 and your dead but i think its more a problem that spraying is far to accurate

I only play COD5 online. That said, I find Hardcore to be much better than regular TDM or CTF. Gets rid of all the retards who dash around with mp40s.

I always play Hardcore, mainly because I can switch out Stopping Power for something else. Also, Juggernaut doesn't help.

Funny but wasn't everyone new at one time or another? So how do you expect them to learn?

Never touched the damn thing, only to find my friends playing it. Naturally I followed, and it's alright, but you need to practise, or your going to get murdered.

However recently normal mutiplayer has become hell on earth, everyone using MP5's etc, so I'm looking forward to the new COD. At least you'll be able to spawn for more then 5 seconds for a few months.

I haven't played in a while but hardcore certainly didn't cause me to play "realistically" - it just made my bunny hopping around with a P90 and stun grenade and UAV jammer that much more deadly

i prefere normal mode because i use shotguns and they become useless when every gun is a one shot kill

When I borrowed it off my mate, I played Hardcore from the start, it's kickass. Silenced M4 and silenced beretta, UAV jammer, and a couple other good perks, I was the unstoppable stealth machine! :D

I like hardcore mode, but my friend adores it and only plays that online. Not regular deathmatch or search and destroy, but hardcore all the time. He's a sniper you see, and I'm a freelancer between spotting for him, killing straglers or laying traps. That and any grenades seem to be magentised to my face. Teamwork really does work...gives then enemy someone else to shoot at eh?

I only ever play hardcore, but I don't think it takes more skill. Spamming 200 bullets into a wall isn't really that skillful. Nor is: sprint to corner, turn to face corner, jump, spray, sprint away. I like the fact that the enemy dies fast when your aim is good, but it benefits crap play equally really.

It's just another game type to me. I don't play COD much anyway: it strikes me as being too competitive. I prefer playing Team Fortress 2.

I only play hardcore S&D for hardcore because it takes a little more stratedgy
Other than that I just play core games to get my guns up for the hardcore game mode.

It it dosn't require any more skill or any less it just gives you an open 1st perk for your needs.

I've never really played on Hardcore mode, and I avoid it for the same reason I avoid Search and Destroy: increasing the penalty for movement just promotes camping.

Yes, because it take so long to kill someone on standard mode. I mean, you really have to hold the trigger for ages to get a kill. Wait, hang on; opening fire on someone before they shoot at you pretty much guarantees a kill in all game modes.
I don't think we're playing the same game here.

I don't even want to begin thinking about all the times in standard mode I've emptied my clip at someone, hitting them shitloads of times, and running out of ammo just for them to turn around and kill me.

It's the main reason I rarely play standard.

Hardcore mode is easy for me. Why? Because now when I sneak behind those bastards and shoot em in the back without a HS, they don't get the (Seemingly high %) chance to turn and magically HS me, because they are dead before they can even turn around. On easier modes I find myself shooting someone dead on, and they simply turn, aim, and HS me...

It's a worse mode than normal Cod 4 type matches. basically all the "pros" says it takes real skill to play. If you notice, you'll see the same weapon be used a lot, or same perk reused.

But, my opinion is I hate it. For two reasons, the gametype, and the people who play the gametype.

But, that's my opinion.

I like hardcore.

It comes down to who sees who first. Its more about positioning than anything else.

I roll with the silencer and UAV jammer. All stealth, its great. Hardcore definitely rewards the stealth approach.
