I doubt it since an army that large presents a logistical NIGHTMARE. China also does not have a navy to speak of. It is large, but it mostly consists of patrol boats and smaller vessels. They have no way of effectively moving that army.
They can send them over on commercial flights :D

First class?

Is this just another Slam America thread? I do get so tired of those.

And please don't compare us to Nazi Germany. That's just insulting. I'm going to assume you're not from the United States because anyone with brain cells to rub together that lives in this country knows that FOX News is hardly news at all. It's garbage.

And why the hell would we try to copy Rambo? You know, we do know the difference between movies and reality. Geez.

Yeah, we do own a lot of guns. My mom, my sister, my dad--all have their gun permits and I'll be getting mine once I have the money. It doesn't mean we're all crazy. Yeah, we like our violent movies and yeah, we can be proud of the good things we've done--while still being aware of the bad things we've done--but you get that with any country. Great Britain has done some amazing things--but they built an empire (and had it until the 1940s) and ruled it very efficiently--but they're still impressive and I wouldn't begrudge anyone from England about being proud of their country. (Hell, I think they're really impressive.)

So obviously, yes--with a large coalition force, England's Royal navy--especially at the head of the Commonwealth like they are, France, Germany as support (because they have not been allowed combat roles since the end of WWII, though that may change)--you'd have to have a large global power like Russia too.

But keeping it? Making it successful? That'd be hard pressed. Making it worth it? Considering America's presence in the global economy/market, not to mention overseas.

To clear the air regarding a nuclear war with America, seeing as lots of people are blabbing on about it, I'm going to mention that the USA has something like the largest or second largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world, and as soon as they realized that nukes were coming, long range bombers would be mobilized and silos would light up all across the country, immersing the enemy in a massive nuclear shitstorm even bigger than the one the Americans would be facing. The only countries that could even attempt to do this are China and Russia, and either way both countries would be annihilated. Anyone play fallout?

Also. This.

We have a 90% chance of being able to intercept the nuclear weapons that North Korea keeps saying they're going to use on Hawaii. If it came to nuclear war--obviously we would launch in return if it became clear that the other industrialized countries had lost their collective minds. Realistically, only Russia is big enough (and has an arsenal of nuclear weapons large enough) to risk nuclear war with the United States and the consequences of such a war between the two countries would be disastrous for the rest of the world.
I agree with all of this. I also thought it would be important to mention nuclear submarines (which it seems many people have forgotten about). They are nearly impossible to track, and each one can carry (either 24 or 16... I don't remember) ICBMs.

No, send them on coach. That's when the U.S. will strike the killing blow by showing 'Twilight' and '13 going on 30' as the only two inflight movies - on repeat.

Precisely. I don't think Washington has enough fear of the people, to be honest. Then again, I'm not sure there's really anything to be afraid of. Maybe if the people get more angry, but I haven't seen much that really makes me think the people want the freedoms they have.
People have become far more apathetic nowadays. I'm starting to agree with the writer in A Clockwork Orange, when he says that 'The common people will let it go. Oh yes, they?ll sell liberty for a quieter life. That is why they must be led, sir, driven, pushed!' People just don't care about politics, and the worst they ever do is protest outside the offices of the politicians who then ignore them.

simple, fire a catalyst into America's nuclear supplies and you have destroyed America's main defense, after which you can proceed to watch as the radioactive fallout from their nuclear supplies strangles most of their armed forces, then just bomb them with nukes until there's a smoking crater shaped like America. either that or you could do the China approach and make America build up a large debt from you and then call it back from them forcing them to surrender and become part of your country

Good call, destroy their sanity and they'll kill themselves before they get here.

I will always believe that people should have the right to choose for themselves. Even though I know people will make bad decisions, it should always be their right to make them for themselves.

You really don't know how nuclear reactions work, or how many different stockpiles they have do you?

Shh. Don't tell him about the nuclear sub-marines that would be charged with nuking whatever country got us so there's little to no chance of getting out of a nuclear war alive.

1. That's assuming that America keeps all of its nuclear weapons in one place. We don't... We also have quite a few nuclear capable submarines hiding in the oceans.

2. China can't call in out debt to them. They need us too much. Seeing as how most of their success is based upon the fact that the U.S. (and most of the western world) buy their goods. They call in the debt, the U.S. doesn't play anymore, and they lose a BIG customer. The only reason the U.S. is in debt to China in the first place is because they bought our bank notes with their own currency. It is a game of currency exchange, and right now they are on the winning side. Realistically, there is little they can do to call in the debt.

I'm not 100% sure that's really as fool proof as you might think. I'll grant you that the depth charges are scary, terrifying, and painful as a suppository, but I have faith that the best funded military on earth has figured out a way around that. At the very least, many subs would be in a good position to start letting fly at the first sign of aggression.

Nuclear power is unstable, cause a large enough explosion at a stockpile and the whole stockpile goes up in smoke. and the whole idea of this thread is to discuss if you could invade America, so short answer yes. it would just require some planning to win

Uhm, no, you are extremely fail. In order to cause a nuclear warhead to explode you need to actually detonate it. Just blowing it up with your own rocket won't do the trick. You need a critical mass and that's difficult to achieve.
