Don't forget that all the main characters have been cast with White Actors, and all the non-white actors have been cast as villains.

This movie is like a racial supremacists dream...
Yeah I swear I don't know what he was thinking when he did that. But then maybe he's trying to issue a indiscreet martial arts challenge.

Keanu Reeves shouldn't play anyone, ever.
He never actually does. He just says the words on the page without "playing" anyone. I heard this too and I'm hoping it's a rumor. I REFUSE to check IMDB for fear that it's actually true. T_T Why would you want to make a live action Cowboy Bebop movie? Why would you want to separate the story from the animation? I bet they'd f*ck up the music too.

God I hate Hollywood sometimes. *cough* Watchmen *cough*

It's about as terrible as the live action Evangelion idea. Simply put, FUCK NO!!!

Seriously an anime should stay as an anime. Make an ANIME movie if your going to do a movie at all. We have all seen how bad movie transitions are and I really wish they would stop doing this for stupid cash ins.

Anyways i doubt it will come to be, but if it does...oh god. Then again I wont be surprised, I mean after all, they are making a sequel to Donnie Darco.

I've heard about it, but I'm not sure if Keanu would be right for the part. I mean, he's probably a nice guy and all... but he doesn't really look or sound anything like Spike.

I mean, have you heard Spike? His voice is like liquid velvet and cigarette smoke combined with awesome. Keanu just can't sound like that.
Also combined with kickassness. Keanu should go and make some other movie..why not the lion king 5?? Not Cowboy Bebop.

Oh lord that is worse. But I think I have that beat. The Avatar Live Action Movie. Guess who's directing, writing and producing it.

M. Night Shyamalan
Yeah, the Avatar Movies are supposed to be a trilogy. Ugh.

Plus, while Avatar is awesome, it isn't "Cult Classic" awesome, like Akira.

Well since they are doing it to dragonball, I don't think any anime is safe from a live action movie.

I swear to all dark gods an demons evoked, that if this movie will be made. I'll buy a sniper rifel, asend on the nearest clock tower an murder any bastard who say's this movie rocks. It has Keanu Reeves for Chtuhulu's sake! Keanu "I can't fuckin' show emotion" Reeves, the same prick who's only emotion in actin' is "Duuuuudeeee" look. How can anyone have hopes for this?! And mind you some people actualy do say that Keanu might make a good Spike...Keanu Reeves can't act to save his life, whenever he needs to show emotion he fails at it. Watch the movie "Street Kings" or Constantine, the guy has as much emotion as a fuckin' rock, less infatc, atleast a rock doesn' have this annoying "Duuuudee..no waaaiii" expression every time someone say's somethin'. I don' go for the "He doesn' look like Spike" or "He's too old" shit, no I'm sayin' that Keanu's actin' talent bites a big bag of wind. The movie might actually be good, they might have say the plot from the anime, an even say some actors who look like the characters. But whenever we'll see Reeves on screen tryin' to strain his static face to pull atleast ONE emotion, it'll be like watchin' your grandma gettin' naked out of the bathtub.

Hollywood is definitely in a creativity crisis. Why do you think we had a writer's strike two years ago? Writers on whole are probably the most abused part of the process next to the minimum-wage laborers. Not only do they not get paid enough, but you try seeing your idea literally soaked in you own sweat, blood, and tears get unceremoniously gutted and sodomized on the big screen. Pair that off with the current economic crisis, and Hollywood is officially strip-mining pop culture and sub-culture for a quick cash-in.

On another note, I'd be less worried if Warner Bros. were publishing, since as "The Dark Knight" and even "Watchmen" proved, they have a very hands-off approach to this kind of stuff. Fox, however, is notorious for cutting shows within the first few episodes and even bastardizing original IP's in movies if they don't appeal to the absolute lowest common denominator. "Firefly" needs no mention, but "Max Payne" was such a travesty that Fox should be given a restraining order from all Anime and Video Game IP's. It's beyond me how Fox could of fucked up a perfectly good film-noir story with a pitch-perfect story, but they did by putting Mark Wallberg in front of a green screen for the whole damn thing.

NO. This is just wrong, on so many levels. Leave it to Fox to try and destroy something great.
I swear, they better not do this...

Do not want this, at all.

They're taking classic series, then making horrible live action films based on them. WHY?

They should probably cast a Corgie as Ein, but hollywood tends to favor Jack Russels.

But in all seriousness, here's a "dream cast" for Cowboy Bebop...
I'm going on the assumption that Talent is more important than looks.

Spike - Robert Downey Jr., he's a martial artist, he does wry humor very well and I REALLY can't think of anyone better.

Faye - Rosario Dawson or Carla Gugino, both hot, both great actresses. Gugino's got a better bust though.

Vicious - Christian Bale, because I think he'd pair well with Downey... also he's awesome.

No idea for Jet or Ed...
Well I agree with every single one of your choices right there.

Would Ron Perlman work for Jet?

Keanu reeves is perfect for the role of spike. As long as he doesn't start trying to act he should do perfectly fine.

It could be good. It has to be better than Dragonball anyway. But people are so set in their mindset of the series that no one could really make it popular.

The problem with Keanu Reeves is that everyone knows that his best film was Bill and Ted and he'll never surpass it.

By the way, does anyone know what happened to the guy who played Bill? It'd be awesome if he played Vicious.
