On more than one occasion, a scared little girl has called my phone number, almost crying, telling me to take her home. It's creepy as hell, it's like something out of a horror movie.
what did you do?
Nothing I really could do. I hung up.

I have to go with a while back, while I still lived with my parents. They were going away for the weekend, and would be a good 5 hours away. In the middle of the day the phone rang. I didn't answer it and the message machine picked it up. Suddenly, a creepy voice said 'You're gonna die' before the line went dead. Later that night (roughly midnight), I was on my computer and watching TV when the power just died out of nowhere. It wasn't raining or anything, and it wasn't just my house. I remember the message from earlier that day and made my way out to the car using my DSi as a light. Scared the hell out of me.

At my primary school there was a shed at the back. We heard loads of noises coming out and because we were all about ten we were shitting ourselves. We told a teacher and they went inside and we heard talking. About ten minutes later she came out with a homeless man and drove him to the nearest shelter. I've seen him since and he's actually really cool and plays the harmonica.

Does this freak you the hell out?

There are many accounts of people being visited by creepy figures not unlike those related in this thread, variously termed Men in Black, Grinning Men or Shadow People. I myself, in the moment between sleep and waking, saw just for a second, two tall, dark, faceless figures standing next to my bed. I blinked and they were gone. Probably dimension-shifting aliens come to study us less advanced beings for their equivalent of a school science project ;)
HOLY SHIT same thing happened to me except my cousins were staying home at the time and I saw two figures that resembled my cousins and I get up, not scared at all, and I was 4 at the time, I tried to like grab them or something I said something but didn't remember what. Then, just shrugged it off and went back to sleep and it was in the middle of the night also, when NO lights were ever supposed to be on but the lights to the stairs are still on. I still live at this house and NOTHING has ever happened since except for that heavy breathing incident :D

Bah, prank calls, get them all the time. Just a REALLY bad coincidence I guess.

eh either
when (what looked like bugs or tiny black specs) started crawling up the walls around me and a few seconds later they dissappeared
or
when i was walking down the street and an old man, wearing nothing but shorts, sitting in his from yard/garden on a sofa did the whole creepy come here gesture, you know when you curl your finger and shouted at me

i think the old man one is the definition of creepy
most creepy event could be explained by the human imagination ,for example, there was an experiment where scientist gathered a group of people and told them they were sampling a new perfume that smelled of lavender, it was in fact just water but every person swore they smelt lavender, now if the human mind can imagine a smell it could easily make you think you heard a sound or saw something, things like face and being referred to by a name are so common the mind can image them easily like the group of people imagined the smell of lavender,

I'm sure it was, but that didn't make it any less creepy. Plus, there was no number on the caller I.D. But it makes for an interesting story anyways.

CREEPIEST thing that happened to me when I was 4 until 6 years old. EVERY night, at around 11 PM I hear plates crashing in the kitchen, and back then, I had NO pets at all except a cat named pepperoni and he slept at my legs and was startled up by the sounds every night also. Then, after I put Pepperoni in the shelter (He pissed in the house too much) The noises stopped, so I was confused and then I got a second cat, who likes to move a lot (I still have him) and the noises started again so I figured it was him this time, I was still scared but not scared shitless. Then, when I turned 7, the noises abruptly stopped. You know why? I got a 2nd cat. DAMN I was scared shitless when THAT happened. On other note, this isn't exactly scary as it is just plain hilarious but I will sometimes hear my cats fight each other downstairs. The first 2 times I heard it I was pretty scared, after that I wasn't scared cause they fought in my room once andmade the same noises, either way pretty scary experiences.

Definitely the time I was taking a shower and the water turned black. Turned out there was some weird chemical in the pipes, but it still scared the shit out of me at the time.

Seeing a face at my window while playing a game.

I freaked out, went white and ran out of the room. When I came back, it was gone and there was no sign of anyone outside. No foot prints, no nothing.
No fucking way! Being completely serious, the same thing happened to me. This one time two years ago I was watching TV and in my peripheral vision there was a window and for a second I saw a face staring at me. I damn near shat my pants. I ran outside...no one there. Idk if it was the mind playing tricks or if someone really was there.
Liek OMFG!!11!

But for real, I didn't just see it in my peripheral vision, I stared at the goddamn thing for at least 10 seconds before I ran. I could make out a white face with no eyes staring blankly with it's mouth agape at me.
It was the Slender Man! http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.166886-Slender-Man-Myth#4446467

OT: I was upstairs finnishing some school work when I heard the front door unlock. I was home alone and my parents weren't due back for about 2 hours, so I went down to investigate. The doors were all still locked and everything was where it had been ealier. What the hell?

Also a couple of times I've been out and at about midnight there has been a sream like nothing you have ever heard before, it just makes your blood run cold...
did you read that thread? julianking was freaking out XD

I have an example of someone causing a creepy event which probably caused the guy to shit himself. My friend used to work at a petrol station, at a certain time during the night they switch to "pay at pump" only, yet there are still people inside stocking shelves, doing shit out the back etc. That night the lights inside were turned off and he and his co worker were out the back having a break when they notice a guy pull up to get petrol. As he goes to pump they start talking/whispering random stuff over the tannoy system. The guy apparently looked around, at which point my friend laughed (He has an evil laugh). The guy apparently put the pump back, got in his car and got the hell out of there.

I've had a few creepy experiences myself, the main one which stands out would be a "shadowman" experience. It could just be a trick of the mind or coincidence but it scared the hell out of me.

I was sat downstairs at 3 in the morning watching TV with the lights off. All of a sudden one of my dogs gets up off the chair in the corner and leaves the room and won't come back in, the other who was sat with me just stared at that corner and started to growl. I was like what the hell, looked over and saw what seemed to be a darker shape in the darkness which looked like a human silhouette. I went to get up to turn the light on but found myself unable to move, like I was rooted to the spot. The room suddenly then felt really oppressive and heavy and the dog that was next to me started to snarl and bare its teeth. All of a sudden the dog calmed down and I could move again. All in all it lasted about 40 seconds, I hadn't been drinking, taken anything and I was watching a comedy show.

It happened again a few months later when I was at my girlfriends at the time, similar time of the morning we both felt something was there and both saw a shadow in the darkness at the foot of the bed.

Hasn't happened now for 5 years thankfully.

I live near an airport and some of the planes get dangerously close to my house (or at least they sound like it). It's even worse when I'm in bed and I hear them.

Oh god, this is a good one.

Some time ago, I lived someplace on the east coast of America. One day I was wandering around, when I saw what looked like a pretty deserted basketball court. Deserted, that was, except for a single basketball. Me being the inquisitive sort, I picked it up and threw it. Pretty poor throw; it hit the rim and bounced off into a shadowy area. OK - here's where it gets weird. No less than a few seconds after the ball disappeared, three men dressed in black stepped out from behind a building. They looked odd, and they told me in a bizzare dialect to go away and never return. I turned around and fled, not looking back.

I told my mom later.

She said I was to move in with some relatives in Bel Air.
You, sir, just won an internet.

Here it is.

Right there------>

Well, I was at my cousin's house, which her parents had inherited on her Dad's side. Her grandfather (her Dad's father) had died upstairs in his study... which was the room we were sleeping in. As we were sleeping, the radio went off as loud as it could go, without any alarm or anything. It was about 2:40 something in the morning and the first thing that was on the radio was "Well, yes, of course supernatural things exist. They try to show us all the time. You just have to listen."

I was absolutely terrified and refused to move. I woke up my cousin, who had surprisingly slept through it (she's a light sleeper) and she crawled out of bed murmuring and turned off the radio. When I checked it in the morning it wasn't even plugged in! She promised she hadn't unplugged it.... I don't go upstairs at night any more.
awesome.
