Actually the combat from the demo was pretty damned smooth the fps count was excellent never noticed an ounce of lag or frameskiping and it was fun, sure its God of War but whta other model can you use for a thrid person hack & slash game they nailed it.

And whoopdie do a wang I cant wait for the inevitable media flood of protect the young from everything, seriously the only people that make a big deal out of stuff like this are either super insecure or immature never been in a bloody changing room before?

EA games have this courious tendancy to be always very well presented, to have great interfaces and advertising, but ultimatly aren't the kind of timeless masterpieces you happend to expect. See Spore, Battle for Middleearth. All very well presented, but not THAT great. I'm foretelling the same for this game.

But foretelling the hybris of a EA-Game is somewhat... lame.

So... Please let me summarise this, to see weather I get this right.

There is this generic hack&slay-game by EA, which will probably be shit. All I know about this game is that they seem to be in the habit of using strange markeeting-means.

But all the violence, the rape of classical literature, is not a problem, but a giant phallus, which as far as symbolism goes, is prominently featured in Every fps out there, stirrs the controvery? How can something, that is attached to at least 50% of the worlds population be controverse?

Think of the children man, the children!!!

Don't speak of SPORE or so help me I will gut you in your sleep! Gah...waited years for that game and it ended up being a giant pile of shit that made me utterly lose all respect for one of the last game designers that actually meant something to me.

OK I get the whole lust thing but why a Giant Penis Monster? Think about it the majority of gamers are male and won't want to see of fight a Giant Penis Monster. On a side note, why the hell is Lust considered a Sin anyway isn't it natural for a species to want to reproduce off-topic I know but just an observation.

because Catholicism is very very conservative, and that's where Dante's Inferno draws its themes.

Also, as for whether or not I want to see a giant swinging penis monster in a game, I'm on the fence. On the one hand, it's not something that i'd probably design for my own game. But am I mature enough to see a giant swinging penis monster in a game and not reel in terror and shame (which was actually probably the intended response)? Probably. So bring on the giant swinging penis monster!
