Based on my "Things in gaming you'll never forgive", I'm getting less specific and putting up a list of things that generaly tend to lead to rage in the gaming community.
We all know the 7 deadly sins. Well, I've gone and made a series of 'sins' of the gaming industry. Commiting these can lead to serious nerd rage, fanboy wars or even series death!
1: (taking one from ZP here) Never end on a cliffhanger!
Guity parties: God of War 2, Halo 2.
2: If you're going to be console exclusive... STAY CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE!
Guilty parties: Kingdom Hearts, Banjo Kazooie.
3: Never release important parts (ie story, game modes) as DLC.
Guilty parties: Assassin's Creed 2, (I forgot my second choice)
4: Try to stay consistant with the series style, or if not, the game better be damn good.
Guilty parties: Zelda Wind Waker (example of damn good game), Infamous 2 (recently forgiven)
5: Try to keep a reasonable timetable. We hate delays!
Guilty parties: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Duke Nukem Forever (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist...)
6: Avoid selling out, or you better keep up quality, but even then we'lll call you greedy.
Guilty parties: Mario, Halo
7: When a game similar to you comes out before you, comparisons are inevitable.
Guilty parties: Prototype/Infamous, MW2/BFBC2
Try to think of your own. Think about what common thing tends to universaly piss off gamers. something that when metioned, everyone seems to get mad at it,and there are very little exceptions to that rule. Things in gaming that cause unanimus rage!
Let the insanity begin!
