have you ever declared something Non-canon
a series that create a particularly bad sequal that you simply forgot about and pretended the series was already over

im doing this right now the the Ratchet and Clank series who after a stunning and amazing conclusion, are bringing it back as a coop beatem up

im sorry insomiac but your not sucking me into this one
i will go ahead and pretend this one doesnt exist
I say it's Sony's doing. Do you really thing Insomniac would make a tacky looking Move compatible game entirely of their own accord?
are you speaking of that horrible looking Crossover their making (because i also declared the Non Canon for RaC, Jak and daxter, and Sly Cooper)
or is ALL 4 ONE really going to be move compatable
no playstation move heroes is a ps3 cross over game from RaC jak, sly and the rest, all4one is a ratchet and clank game where you play as ratchet clank nefarious and quarck
yeah i know
they both look horrible
ALL 4 ONE comepletely misses the point of a ratchet and clank game
and move heroes just looks like a cash-in
i really do miss the good R&C games
crack in time was good but it will never be as good as the first 3
and as soon as they start going downhill its a sign that its time to move on
RandC is over i just hope that soon insomniac lets it rest in peace

Metroid Other M.

Nobody here will ask why if they have seen it.
I rreally don't get why all the hate. The story worked well when you consider the timeline. It was early in the series in canon.

For me... well the CD-i Zeldas were declared non-canon... anything going back in time tp erase fill-in-the-blank removes it from canon... "Enterprise" was a holodeck simulation, thus not canon... So I guess that leaves Zoids: Fuzors/Genesis and Digimon seasons 3 and on as "not canon".

Anyway, I'd have to say Star Wars Holiday Special. I tried to watch it, but it was painfully bad, so I had to give up about half-way through. How it ever got made is beyond me.
I think it may actually be non-canon, however nothing actually happened in it so it would make little difference if it was canon. Though characters introduced in it, mainly Boba Fett, but also Chewie's family, and Bea Arthur's singing batrender, have appeared elsewhere in the universe.

OT: To me the Stargate Episode "200" isn't canon. A minor thing, but It's all I can think of right now.
episode 200 is mostly done in dreams and whatnot isn't it? Its a fourth wall breaking poke at sci fi tropes and works really well. Plotwise its an extension of the weird baldy blokes story. I thought it was perfectly canon
Like I said it's a minor thing. Basically the tone of it was a bit too fourth wall breaking, such as the bit at the end where Walter gets changed into combat fatigues instantly and Vala referencing Farscape.

Now it's not like I'm declaring it Non-Canon in the same way as Highlander II because it's so damn awful, I LOVE that episode, but rather I see it more of a 200th episode special.

Lol I'm with ya mate, this co-op bullshit will not stand with me.

They could have done co-op so much better in the proper R&C formula of third-person shooter/platformer but instead they opt for this crap. Bleh, and I was looking forwardto another really cool Ratchet and Clank game after A Crack in Time.

Can you imagine how complex you could make the time clock style puzzles with two people? It'd be amazing!

Devil May Cry 2. Its amazing how much of a backwards step that game was. Dante was completely characterized wrongly, the level designs where uninteresting and kinda bland. Same for the enemies really, and they decided to insert 'random female sexpot' character, what's worse is they actually allow you to play as her.

They recycled bosses, the plot was stupid, the enemies were annoying and the only deviation between Dante and Lucrisa (I think her name was) play throughs was that the girl got an underwater section and their final boss levels were different.

So yeah Devil May Cry 2 never happend

Home Alone 4 (I would include 3 but it's not connected to the main story) for several reasons:

1: It's set after HA 2 but Kevin is visibly YOUNGER as is his brother which brings me to point number two:

2: None of the original cast are there and some characters are removed for no clear reason and never mentioned.

3: Kevin NEVER told his parents about the robbers?

4: It was completely unnecessary and ill-advised since most of the child characters were now teens or adults. It could have been done well if it featured Mcaulay Culkin as Kevin but made the film about a little brother or his son or something but keeping Kevin as a kid in 2002 was a real moron move.

For me I just treated that like a joke episode they did for the fans, the "plot" was just something to spring all these jokes and spoofs off of. :D

The last episode of Death Note never existed, and Dan Abnett only did 3 novels for Gaunt's Ghosts. Pity, that. They were really good.

Resident Evil 5.

Seriously, between blatant Mary-Sue protagonist Sheva, destroying the survivalist aspect of gameplay for the sake of poltical correctness, and NO MERCHANT - it's more like a bad fanfiction than an actual game.

.
Every Resi game has a plot that's like bad fan-faction. It's part of the charm.

BUT... Sheva can suck a fat one and I hope Resi 6 throws co-op to the crocodiles.

Definitely. The 100th episode parodied the Sci-Fi TV business, and 200 just went all out and had Puppets, and Zombies.

Most of Halo Legends.

Metroid: Other M.

All the major deaths in World of Warcraft.

And for the record, if I hadn't read Halsey's Journal, Halo: Reach would be on the top of the list. I'm a Halo lore junkey.

EDIT:

Metroid Other M takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. That means it takes place after, in canonical order:

Metroid (Zero Mission)
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime Hunters
Metroid Prime 2
Metroid Prime 3
Metroid 2: The Return of Samus
Super Metroid

and before, in canonical order:

Metroid Fusion

That doesn't strike me as early in the series canon. Not to mention they buttfuck Samus's character.

KotOR II comes to mind. Why, oh why would you invalidate everything I did in the previous game by wiping out the Jedi order that I just saved?!

It's also crappy otherwise and doesn't fit with the original at all, so to me it's not part of the canon.

Actually... KotOR 1/2 are canon-based... Revan was male and a good-sided Grey Jedi, the Exile was famile and a Light-side Jedi.

Most of the first FullMetal Alchemist series is non-canon. There are a handful of episodes that ARE canon, but the majority (especially the latter half of the series) should be completely ignored.
