It is my belief that the 4th Indiana Jones movie is one of Indy's hallucinations as he slowly dies from radiation poisoning inside a fridge.
It would be a much better ending than the one we got.
Would've made a hell of a lot more sense too.

have you ever declared something Non-canon
There are Three Star Wars films, two Alien films, three Call of Duties, two Terminators and only one Robocop.

Personally, I like Games Workshop's take on canon, that it's something you use to fire shells at Orks, if a story is good it needs to be told whether it conflicts with others or not. I like that mindset, fun above continuity!

Star Wars:
I only consider the classic trilogy, the Phantom Menace and the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon as canon for the films. As for the novels, only a few like the X-Wing books, the Thrawn trilogy, and the Han Solo Adventures count. Most of the rest can go to hell.

Batman:
Only the DC Animated Universe depictions are canon.

Star Trek:
Next Generation and Deep Space Nine only. Everything else is non-canon.

Halo:
Halo Legends is DEFINITELY non-canon.

QFT.

The Whore already butchered the series' finale... she should have left poor albus alone. She killed him!

I have gone through many posts in this thread, but you take the cake. Why did we need to know this? What does it have to do with anything? You are totally correct in the publicity bullshit. The books were starting to fade in their popularity, so she went out and tried to create a controversy so people would start talking about them again.

Any Metallica works post 1993 are an aesthetically similar tribute band the record company hired after the original band sadly passed away in a Plane crash. I only bring it up because so many people are unaware of this fact that is definitely a fact, and this seemed a suitable place to bring it up, it being a fact and all.

Megaman X6,X7 and X8. For me the X series ended in X5, it was a perfect ending to a really great series, then X6 came out and fuck up the entire story and every thing I loved about the X series.
If I recall, I think the original creator wanted the X series to end at X5 and was really upset it got continued.
Ya, Keiji Inafune was furious that they had continued the series behind his back.

The last Metroid was Prime 3.
No the last Metroid was Fusion actually!

But yes I agree, Metroid Other: M never happened. That game was the worst pile of shit to happen to any game series.

I try to avoid declaring things non-canon because it make me sound like an idiot. For example you or I may not like those Star Wars prequels but they are canon. The only people able to declare things non-canon are the creators of the original work.

Non-Canon list:

Games:

Final Fantasy X-2 (I didn't care about these guys in the final fantasy X, never-mind another one)
-Final Fantasy XIII (So boring)

Movies and tv shows:

-Star Trek Enterprise (the most unappealing and dumbest Star Trek Crew ever)
-Star Trek Generations (not the send off Kirk deserve)
-Star Trek Nemesis (too stupid for words)
-Star Trek 2009 (the final nail in the coffin)
-Serenity (what the hell Joss Whedon, kill two of my favourite characters off for on reason)
-Angel after series 2 (it was just so depressing, only bother to watch it for Wesley)
-Star Wars Prequels
-Anything after the first Matrix
-Most Disney sequels
-All Shrek films, especially the sequels
-X-Men 3
-Any Pirates of the Caribbean films after the first one

I don't just make things non-canon... I make my OWN canon. Well, in Mass Effect, at least. When one of my squad died in ME2, I declared it to be non-canon (and called shenanigans on every enemy ever in the series), and worked to bring him back. Fixed the canon the next day.

Boosh. Did I just blow your mind?
That silence you just heard was the sound of my brains being sucked out of my head by a vacuum and ripped apart molecule by molecule in a black hole. Mind... consider yourself blown.

Jak X, but that's okay.
Jak 4, and that's not okay.
Actually, only 2 and 3 really fit to each other. It's a strange setting.

the pokemon games that came after the second one (excluding Fire Red,Leaf Green,Heart Gold and soul silver)
I would punch every person who say's that in the soul if I could because the pokemon games just keep improving in gameplay and pokemon design is only changing in style and is not getting worse or unoriginal.
the design,s that where used in D&P where pretty bad and Hoen felt VERY small I dont hate it becaus its the same game with minor improvements (dont fix what aint broken) just that the design,s got pretty bad after 2
you know, its very easy to complain about design, but no one ever really offers any new designs themselves that are good. People complain about design in pokemon are really just low forms of trolls.
But then again, we complain because its not what we wanted, if you got a car that wasnt as you thought. would you think "Hmm ill make my own" or would you complain? simple, we ARNT game designers, they get paid a shit load of cash to design Pokemans's, if I got paid as much as they are, id sure as hell make some cool ones, but i dont get paid. We're the recipients of an end product that we're not happy with, hence complaining.

OT: Non-Canon? Indie Meets War of the worlds, everything in Family Guy, some BS spin off games (Im looking at you FFX-2) Highlander 2: the sickening, End game, the source. And well...Dragonball GT

Star Fox Command didn't happen. It was a shitty attempt to give closure to a series that still has life in it. Ergo, not over... especially when there are multiple endings and none of them are specifically designated as "canon".

Spiderman Reboot because it isn't done by Sam Raimi and it is a way for Sony to keep their precious Spiderman and keep their stocks up. I suppose same applies to X-Men 3 and anything after that. (Especially since they killed, like, half the cast).

And then...

I have declared every Sonic after S&K to be non-canon, because they are plain awful (part from SA, the only SA...)
I'm inclined to disagree. Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2 are pretty damn fun. I will, however, consider everything afterwards (mostly) non-canon because a lot of the story turns into a mess and none of the games have any connection whatsoever.

No! That's not my call to make. Only the original creator has the right to declare what is or is not canon, or in the absence of the original creator, whomever is left in creative control of the thing. Whoever goes around declaring things non-canon because they didn't like it obviously has their head stuck so far up their own ass that they now breathe shit instead of air.
